Hello. I have a problem. When I embed a youtube video on the board and try to click the play button, the video is starting to play but it’s mute, then I try to click the unmute button in the embedded video and happens nothing. The button doesn’t work, I can’t pause, mute or click the timeline. How can I fix it? And that happens with everything I embed - youtube/wordwall. Nothing works on the board.

What I’ve tried:

  • To unmute the embedded video in Safari (didn’t work)
  • I tried to embed the Iframe code of the youtube video (didn’t work)

It is possible that the embed is set to "visual preview" mode which only displays the video without audio.

Check your embed settings to ensure that the video is set to play with sound; if the issue persists, it could also be a browser or device sound setting that needs adjustment. 

Key points to check:

  • Embed settings: When pasting the YouTube video link into Miro, make sure the embed options don't have "visual preview" selected, which would only show the video without sound. 
  • Device volume: Double-check that your device volume is turned up and not muted. 
  • Browser settings: Ensure your browser's volume is also not muted. 
  • Refresh the board: Sometimes a simple refresh of the Miro board can resolve temporary glitches.
