Surely this has already been discussed, or is a widely-known feature, but as a newbie to Miro I just can’t figure it out.  I’m building a complex flow diagram, and I’d like to be able to embed “template” flows inside it and give them the form of a block.  Think of it as a “black box” that represents another flow diagram.  But, for discussion purposes, I’d like to be able to click on that block and have the other flow diagram open up.  How do I do that?

Thanks ahead of time!

Hi @BSteele! I suggest you create the flowchart you want to "embed” elsewhere on the board, then link to it in a block inside the first flowchart. It won't "open up" (I assume you mean in a modal or similar?) but you'd be taken to it by clicking the  Link to icon.

Example:

  1. Create the first flowchart.
  2. Add a block in that flowchart that will point to another flowchart.
  3. Create another flowchart somewhere on your board.
  4. Go back to the first flowchart, right click on the “black box” block and choose Link to. Link it to the second flowchart.
