I’m working on my first board and made everything too large at first. I found it easy to select all objects and shrink them all down together, however, the original font size is not shrinking along with the objects. I can’t figure out a way to adjust the font size of multiple objects at once. Does anyone have any ideas for how this might be accomplished?
Many thanks!

I don’t know that this can be done with regular drawing shapes (e.g. circles, rectangles). It does work with the sticky notes because those are designed to provide an auto-size mode for font size. Adding auto-sizing to shapes other than the sticky notes would be a good enhancement for sure!
Hey @Nathaniel, not sure what is wrong. Could you please record a gif to show us what is happening on the board as you resize the objects?

He is saying that the size of the text inside an object doesn’t get adjusted to the new size of the object. Also it’d be nice to select multiple objects and resize the text inside them at once. Thanks!

I can definitely re-size the text inside multiple shapes by multi-selecting them and re-sizing the selection rectangle itself - does than not do what you are looking for?

My shapes are all the correct size and I don’t want to resize them. But, the text inside dozens of shapes is 24pt and I need to change all of them to 36pt.
Seems the only way to do this is, one by one, and check twice to make sure I haven’t missed any. I haven’t found a way to select dozens of objects and then change the font size for all of those objects.
Looking for the same thing, I discovered that I can get one object the way I want it and the choose “Copy Style” from the ellipsis at the end of the menu I get when the object is selected. Then, I can select all the other objects and hit “Paste Style” from the same menu. So as long as you want ALL the style objects the same in a group, this is a little better then doing them one by one.
I agree that the ability to do text formatting on a group of objects is an obvious and good feature.
I am struggling right now with this feature that doesn’t exist.
I buy the starter plan and realize that this basic function does not exist. And after 4 years this is still not possible. Unbelievable, I have hundreds of objects that I want to increase the font size for all of them and I have to click on them one by one? (seems like I can group select some shape to change fontsize if I use the filter) Especially for the text in the connecting lines, I had to click one by one.
Just registered to the community to voice that I’m I’ve run into the same problem. As others have explained, text scaling works fine with multiple objects, if I want to scale everything else to the same ratio. If it’s changing the font or size across multiple items, it’s a real frustration. Something that should have taken me a few minutes is taking me a long time to fix because I decided to adjust how I wanted to present something later.
Same with me. :( How to change the font size for all object in a mind map?
Hi @Jürgen Bund,
Thank you for sharing your experience! Could you provide a short gif or video demonstrating what you're trying to achieve and where you're encountering challenges? For example, are you trying to adjust the font size for all nodes in your mind map at once or for a specific group of nodes? This will help us better understand your situation and provide more tailored guidance.
Looking forward to your response!
I dont know how to record a gif but here is my multiple objects. Firstly I need to increase the font size within these objects and I cant see a way to do them all at once (I would have to make each object bigger, starting from scratch seems simpler). Secondly I want to increase the size of the objects slightly but selecting them all and dragging them does not work.
Hi @Megan Hopley,
Thank you for sharing your concerns!
Could you confirm if the chart in your screenshot is created using the Mind Map tool? If not, could you let us know which tools or apps were used, particularly for the objects containing text? This will help me to replicate this on my end and provide a guidance tailored to your specific setup.
Looking forward to your response!
Hello
I used the Family Tree template and edited it as required.
Hi @Megan Hopley,
After replicating, I discovered that the objects/tools used in the org chart are of the "card" type, which comes with a fixed font and size.
If you want to change the font size, you’ll first need to change the object type. Here's how:
Select the card.
Convert it into a shape by choosing one from the shape selection.
Once you’ve done this, you’ll have the option to adjust the font size, font style, and text formatting.
You can also change the font size, style, and formatting in bulk once you’ve changed all object type from card to a regular shape (in this case, square shape).
If changing the object type isn’t an option or doesn’t meet your needs, I recommend submitting a support ticket to explore alternative solutions.
