@Joan Seamster - Can you share a screenshot of what you are seeing?

@Robert Johnson I have just had the same issue, no idea how it happened, would you or anyone be able to help?. Closing and reopening does nothing. Interestingly when I zoom out the colours are there, but not when I zoom in

Also, black sticky notes work, but not any other colour.

@James Cooper - Can you tells us more about your set up? For example,

  • Your OS (Windows, Mac)
  • How are you accessing Miro? Browser? If so,
    • which one?
    • have you cleared your cache? Cookies?
    • Have you signed out/back in?
    • Tried an incognito/private browser windows?
    • Disabled all browser extension?
  • Are you using the Miro desktop app? If so, have you tried resetting the application data?
  • If you have other team members in the same space, does this happen to everyone?
  • This happen on all boards?

If you have a paid Miro subscription, you can open a Miro support ticket by following these instructions:

https://help.miro.com/hc/en-us/articles/360020185799-How-to-contact-Miro-Support#h_01F010RXA0E1S9C0WFQYX75R6C

I have the same problem.

Interesting thing is, when I dublicate the board and make a copy, the colors of the sticky notes are back again. Reloading or logging out and in again don’t change a thing.

It has nothing todo with any hardware or browswer/cache/cookies and so on. Same laptop, same browser, just a copy of the board in another tab → its a miro bug.

Super interesting. They appear when I’m not zooming in too much (18% zoom level) when I zoom in further (19% or more) then the colors disappear. and only the yellow ones, sometimes grey ones…

cheers

Stefan

I just started having the same problem with the color and border of sticky notes disappearing. I’ve closed down the window, closed the file, reopened both...still no sticky notes. New ones created today and old ones from old boards created several months ago, same thing - the sticky note is actually there but no color, no borders, totally transparent. 12/7/2024

I’m using Firefox with only one instance of Miro open. I have mass quantities of ram available so it wouldn’t be that.

I hope we can get this fixed in a very timely fashion. Jim

To add to my comment directly above. I closed down Firefox completely, waited a few and restarted. Loaded Miro and sticky notes are back! Must have been some memory glitch with Firefox not reading the screens correctly...or something else altogether. Jim 12/7/2024

I am also witnessing the same issue, after switching from a SSO-login to a password-based login, and resetting my password: now the board I used very frequently does not display any sticky notes colors.

I’m using the latest Firefox version.

I even tried a full page refresh with CTRL+SHIFT+R : that did not solve the issue 😢

Hi @Lucas-C,

Thank you for sharing the details of your issue. Since you're using Firefox, let’s try a few troubleshooting steps to identify the cause:

  1. Test in Incognito Mode. Open Firefox in private/incognito mode and check if the sticky note colors are still missing.

  2. Try a Different Browser. Switch to another browser, such as Chrome or Edge, to see if the issue persists.

  3. Disable Browser Extensions. Disable any browser extensions (e.g., Grammarly), as they can sometimes interfere with Miro features like text or visuals.

  4. Duplicate the Board. If the issue occurs only on a specific board, try duplicating the board. Check if the sticky note colors appear correctly on the duplicated version.

If none of these steps resolve the problem, please let me know so we can investigate further.

Looking forward to hearing back from you!

I had the same bug, also running FireFox here… restarting the browser (and installing updates) worked for me!
