Hi There,

we want to disallow the Share by Link feature so that only people inside the Team can access a board.

How can this be set up?

Thanks for reaching out! You can control link-sharing permissions at the team or board level depending on your plan.

If you want to disable the “Share by link” option so that only team members can access the board, you’ll need to adjust your Team sharing settings:

  1. Open Team settings (or Admin Console if you’re on Business or Enterprise).

  2. Go to the Permissions or Sharing settings section.

  3. Under Board sharing options, disable or restrict “Anyone with the link” access.

  4. Make sure the default access is set to Team members only.
     

You can keep the editor access by team level if you want all the users joined in the team can access and edit the board. But if you want only the ones invited to the board can edit and keep it from other team members, you can change it to No access. If you want to add new users to the board, you can invite them via email.

If you’re on the Enterprise plan, Company Admins can enforce this organization-wide through Company settings → Security → Sharing policy to ensure external sharing is disabled.
