Can't modify swimlanes in flow diagram

I swear this was working properly just a few days ago...

The 3-dot menu to modify swimlanes doesn’t appear AT ALL when I click a swimlane. This means I can’t modify the colors, nor can I delete them. It still lets me write text and add additional lanes, but I’ve hit a wall because I just need to delete the ones Im not using at this point. This is really frustrating, any help would be appreciated.

Hi @Meredith Brandt-Lew thanks for reaching out!

What I can see in your screenshot is that Miro is recognizing the object as selected, but not loading the specific controls, which normally include:

  • Fill color

  • Fonts

  • Header options

  • Orientation

  • More settings

Try the following workarounds:

  1. Click outside the flowchart.

  2. Click once on the entire flowchart frame (its border should highlight).

  3. Now click the swimlane again.

The toolbar should appear.

A forced reload often restores the widget-specific menus.

Press:
Cmd + Shift + R (Mac)
or
Ctrl + Shift + R (Windows)

This clears cached UI elements.

If none of the above works, Copy the entire swimlane block → Paste it into a new board → Edit it there. If editing works on a new board, you can paste it back afterward.

Please let me know how this goes.
