can not edit a board that i create and is apparently now part of a another team where i do not belong
I created a board two months ago, and suddenly I only have only comments rights. I asked for changing it into editing right and this request shows that this miro board is suddenly owned by another team to who i can not reach out to.
How can this have happened and how can this be restored so I can edit my 0own board again?
Thanks, Albert

Hi @Albert Gast
Thanks for reaching out!
Based on what you’ve described, here are a few possibilities that might explain what happened:
If the board was shared or accessed via a link and someone with editor rights on a different team opened and moved it, ownership could have transferred.
If the board belonged to a team you were once a member of and you’ve since been removed, your access level would be downgraded.
If you still have the board link, click the Request edit access button on the board. This will notify the current owner/team admin.
If you can’t reach the team, and you still have access to the board, try duplicating it to your own team or personal workspace by clicking the board’s name > More actions (•••) > Duplicate.
You can also check if the board is in your dashboard under another team space, which may help determine how ownership changed.
If none of the above works or if you’d like our support team to look into the ownership history, feel free to contact Miro Support directly with the board URL. They’ll be able to check the logs and help recover access if possible.
Let us know if you need help along the way!
thanks for the repply, the faculty where this board belong does not exist anymore and the owner does not work at the university anymore.
If i go to the name and three pints i do not see the option ‘duplicate’, and option ‘export’ also does not work.
So what’s next? And how did this board ended here anyway? I could work on it for months and suddenly the setting changed after reopening it since not using it for a month.
Best, Albert
note is is VERY unclear how to directly contact the help centre by the way...
this is the board I need editing access too
@Albert Gast - From a public DNS record lookup for “TU delft”, tudelft.nl, there is a Miro verification TXT record which would imply your organization has (or could have recently moved to) a Miro Enterprise subscription.
I would suggest that you start by asking any internal channels (a help/support desk, emailing/pinging other Miro user colleagues, etc.) to ask who your Company Admins are. Additionally, you could try clicking the top-left menu from your dashboard, and then hovering over any any teams to see if there is a "people/team members" icon that you could click to access the users page to filter by "Company Admin", e.g.:
