Calculating Tables (/Grid) content limits

The explanation for the new tables feature notes that “every cell has a limit of 6,000 symbols” including space and html code.

How are objects described (or counted as “symbols”) when you place them in cells, e.g.

• sticky notes - does the sticky notes count as a number of symbols?

• jpegs - does the size of the jpeg count towards number of symbols - 150k vs 2.6Mb?

How do calculate whether you are close to or at your 6,000 symbol limit, especially when you might want to have several objects plus text in a cell?
