Boards that I own have been deleted when we removed an old staff member's account. How can I bulk restore these? There are so many and I need access to them all.

Hi @Becky Morton, thanks for reaching out — I understand how important this is.

When a team member is removed, any boards they owned may be deleted if ownership wasn’t transferred beforehand. Unfortunately, there isn’t a self-serve option to bulk restore boards once they’ve been deleted. In the future, we recommend transferring board ownership before removing a user to prevent accidental data loss. You can learn more here: Transferring board ownership.

I’ve converted your case into a support ticket so our Support team can check the backend and help investigate possible recovery of your boards. If restoration is possible, they’ll guide you through the next steps. The Support team will follow up with you directly via email

Hello, thanks for getting back to me. My team member (the one who left) assures me that the board ownership was transerred to me as it should be. So I’m not sure what has happened here. Also, I haven’t yet heard from the support team, any idea when I will?

HI @Becky Morton, thanks for clarifying — it’s reassuring that your former teammate confirmed the ownership transfer was done. Once you’ve confirmed ownership of those boards, I recommend duplicating them into your own team space to make sure they aren’t affected by changes in the original team’s settings. Please note that board ownership transfers only apply to active boards — if a board has already been deleted, it would need to be restored first by the previous owner before the transfer can happen.

Regarding your ticket, I checked and can see that our Support team has already replied and is currently waiting on your response. If you haven’t received their message, could you double-check your inbox (and spam/junk folder) for an email from Miro Support? Replying there will allow them to continue investigating this with you directly.
