This morning I logged into Miro and found the top left and right toolbars had disappeared from a particular board. There doesn’t seem to be any setting to hide/show it. I am the board owner and have edit access.

Steps I’ve taken:

  • Replicated issue in Miro app for Mac, and latest Chrome browser (including Incognito)
  • Reset application data for Mac app
  • Duplicated the board
  • Confirmed that these toolbars display in other boards

Anyone else had this issue, or know how to resolve it?

@Tom Ostapchuk - Can you share a screenshot of the entire board? (Zoomumg way out or blurring any sensitive info, maybe even temporarily renaming the board.)

Which plan/subscription type does this board reside in?

@Robert Johnson Incredibly, renaming the board fixed it!

@Tom Ostapchuk - Unexpectedly helpful haha I'll have to add that to my list of troubleshooting steps!

So ALL my menus disappeared, top left, top right, and left menu bar. Here’s how I solved it. Just close the tab and re-open it…. and voila!  Probably a bug I would say. All the other tabs were fine, except for the one tab. I am using the Miro app on Macbook!

Hope this helps, cheers...

This did not work for me >< Not sure what happened. I was editing the board - and then it happened.

On top of the toolbar disappearing (some buttons are still there like comment, cursor, pencil, sticker board and undo/redo), there are also some kind of white arrows on blue background on each board/frame I created, and if you click on it it shows you that particular frame full-screen and the only way is to zoom out to get out of that mode.

There is nowhere a button to exit this mode either. So confused. Hope someone can help.

I am also the board owner and have my company corporate license for editing Miro. I checked Google Chrome and MS Edge - the same. I cleared cache - the same.

Let me know if any thoughts.

Please share a screenshot of your entire board UI.

@Robert Johnson thanks for getting back! I checked it this morning, and all good as always… Not sure, maybe some kind of a bug. I will share the screenshot if I ever encounter this again. Thanks!
