Best way to delineate action items?

Josh Fialkoff

What’s the best way to delineate action items in a mind map so that it’s easy (and potentially automated) to import a mind map into a project management system, or at least to make it easier for a project manager to quickly see action items?

I could just use icons, but I’m wondering if there’s something slicker and/or more elegant.

Thanks!

Was it helpful?

@Josh Fialkoff -

If you are referring to the mind map nodes, other content is not exported. The CSV will dump the nodes out as a flat list in Column A so you won’t see the relationships between the nodes. Tagging is also not possible with mind map nodes, only with sticky notes and cards.

Thanks @Kiron Bondale!

Are other formats exportable, such as shape or size?

What about tagging items as Goals, Actions, etc?

Thanks again,

Josh

If it was only for native Miro use, I’d have suggested color coding the action items a different color than the rest of the mind map nodes.

However, as the CSV export doesn’t include colors, the only two suggestion I’d have is to prefix the action description with Action: or with an emoji which would show up in the CSV such as the ✔ sign.
