Best practice for tracking process documentation coverage and KPIs in Miro

Hello Miro Team,

We are using Miro to document end-to-end processes for all departments in our organization. Each department is represented as a team, with spaces for function-level grouping, and boards used for individual processes.

Our question is around governance and measurement:

Does Miro provide (or recommend) any standard approach, dashboard, or KPI model to track:

  • How many processes exist per department

  • How many spaces created

  • How many processes are documented vs pending

  • Overall process documentation completeness

If Miro does not natively support this, what is the recommended industry best practice?

We want to ensure our approach aligns with how Miro is intended to be used at organizational scale.

Thank you.

HI @Team Everest, thanks for reaching out!

Miro doesn’t currently provide a native governance or KPI dashboard specifically for tracking process documentation metrics (like completeness or pending processes). But you can always create your own using Miro tools like Tables or cards with status fields to track progress at a high level. You can also explore more templates in Miroverse that aligns with you.

It’d be great to hear from others in the community — how are you measuring process documentation in Miro?

Hi @Team Everest

Well, the industry standards depend what industry you are in: aviation, pharma, banking, etc. For the big companies, it’s quite common to hire a big consulting company (KPMG, Deloitte) come set up the framework, then hire a different one (Deloitte, KPMG) to come do the regular audits.

Here’s a pretty good link: https://www.cflowapps.com/process-governance
