Everything You Need to Know About Miro Wish List
The Wish List is where we gather ideas directly from members of the Miro Community to help us make Miro even better. Excited to contribute? Here’s eve...

It would be really helpful to have a hotkey that could be used to constrain the mouse/pen movement horizontally. In my case, this would be essential for mathematics involving a lot of fractions, allowing me to draw the fraction lines but without needing to pick the ruler tool.
We have our Miro Teams created automatically with the help of the Miro API, what is missing right now is a way to also set the profile picture of a team via API. The profile picture is in Miro especially important since e.g. in the left-bar where you see all your teams it is the only fast way on identifying a team.
I’ve been in several vote sessions where the person conducting the sessions has had to stop it and space out the stickies because the ability to remove the vote is concealed by another sticky overlaying it.With the usage of stickies often being an exercise in adding/grouping/moving around, it would make sense to be able to use a keyboard/shortcut to move them once a session has started or perhaps move the ability to remove the votes to the center of the sticky (or auto position it if concealed). Those seem to be the two best options.
Please provide a way for a board owner to put a board into “anonymous input” mode so that board participants can provide candid input. I currently have to use another product in order to accomplish this. 😟
In many applications (Adobe and Figma) we can copy in the same line by pressing alt and shift. In Miro as soon as you press any other button than alt it does not copy but only moves the item. Quite annoying as I am so used to these key combinations!
I have seen posts where the issue has been brought up before, but never in a dedicated post.So i dedicate this post to the one specific problem.Boards get heavy with time. Miro is a blessing in my line of work, but gets bogged down quickly with many users who add photos and references willy nilly. We need a system where a set of standards can be implemented to keep the load times down. As an example: From the get-go, say that everything that has a width over 1920px gets proportionally scaled to that. And everything that has a lower resolution gets left alone. Or one could mak rules on the width of an image. Whoever uploads will have the images rescaled to fit a chosen rule. If you upload a picture that is 2048 wide, you could get the option to leave as is, or scale image proportionally by making the width 512px, 1024px, 1920px or some predefined value set by the boards owner. Or this could be done after the fact, and all selected images, could keep their size on the board, but be reduced in actual size by a percentage. I imagine the workflow being that you select the images that slow your board down, and you set rez to 20% of what original images were. They all stay the same size on the board, but are actually scaled to save space. Another way of making the images easier on Miro is to have a system that identifies the largest files. Then something can be done about them manually.
I would love to have a shortcut key to rotate objects 90 degrees. It is fine doing it manually by dragging the icon, but I only ever seem to be doing 90 degree rotations for my work.Apologies if this is not possible or if there is already a shortcut for doing this. I am really enjoying Miro!
Hey gang,I’ve have the need to re-arrange many notes into groups. the ability to do so according to color and tag is superb. however, suggestions:I need more dimensions for re-arranging in general. “arranging according to keyword” - I thought this was a keyword I the user chose. this could be very helpful. if a note has more than one tag, the re-arranging duplicates the note. this is super less than optimal, for me at least. how about re-arranging according to author of note? how about re-arranging according to emoji? there could be many more dimensions that are super useful..thanks for listening, you have a great product.cheers
Add a "release followers" feature, like the one available in Mural, so that moderators can move around the board and do the "behind the scenes" tasks without being seen by board visitors.
I often will bring all my workshop attendees to me on the miro board to get them set for the next exercise. I love this. HOWEVER, unless they move their cursor on their own (which several inevitably don’t do), they are left following me. And I can’t stop them from following me. Even if I close miro and re-open it. Please make it so we can have people STOP following us after we have brought them to us. THANK YOU!
As a trainer, I often use the “bing-to-me” option. I ensure people are looking at what I need them to look at. But then, when I quickly want to pan around a bit to review some upcomming work, I want to ensure people dont jump with me. So I want to (temporarly) be able to “undo” or “disable” the bring to me.
Hello, i’d like to see the ability to move the order of my projects via drag and drop, like you can see it in the following graphic. Best Regards Michael
As an Agile Coach I would like to have an option to reduce the file size of images before they get uploaded in Miro to keep the performance of the board high. As a Miro board gets bigger, more and more images accumulate in the board. I use many images to create a nice visual experience on the board. With transparent PNGs it makes sense to stack multiple images over each other to create a scene fitting to my purpose. The pictures used are often much larger in file size that required. That leads to increasing loading times because more large images need to be downloaded by every client. This also creates more traffic than needed and uses more storage on the Miro servers than needed. Thats why I would like to have an option to reduce the file size of a larger image in miro. This could look like this:I drag an drop or paste an image to the miro board a Popup shows up that asks me to select the image quality with a hint to scale it as small as possible Within the popup i could have a slider oder options like 100% 75% 50% or 25% of the original size Optionally i can save this this option for images over 2MB i click on submit an the image gets uploaded with the desired file size
What about branded subdomains for our Miro instance? Like stendahls.miro.com? Many other services with Enterprise functionality has this as a feature (Slack, Figma, 1Password, Monday, Atlassian, etc…) . It'd be much easier for communication with our customers and users, and would minimise the confusion when some users are thinking that they are joining our Miro instance and instead creates an instance of their own by accident. There are at least 30 "Stendahls Team" instances that I'm aware of, and none of those are used properly, and all are super hard to separate since there’s no canonical sub-domain that would indicate the correct one.
When exporting a frame to image, the dowloaded file always keeps the name of the board instead of the name of the frame. This means that when you are exporting a few frames, they will all be named the same and you’ll need to open the image to identify which is which. So, ideally, when exporting a frame, the generate image/pdf should keep the name of the frame.
Would love to see an option where you can “add a row above” in a table. Often times I want to add a row to the top of an already created / populated table, or in between two rows. It would be helpful to have an add a row above option.
I run multiple linked projects across a few teams that all own a Kanban board - I own a Kanban that incorporates the whole project (which is v. large). When running through sprint reviews we’re updating both on their board and mine.Is there a way of making my board linked so updates on their board automatically updates on mine, it would save us all a lot of time and mean I only have to check one place.
I set a board Cover image and there does not appear to be an option to remove the Cover. It looks like I can only select another Cover image or, from within the board, select a Preview area of the board to be the Cover. Feature request: Option to remove a board Cover image or Preview area.
With my work in Miro, I often work in multiple areas with post it’s at different scales. There are often multiple individuals all working at their own scale. It is a big effort generally to take all those disparately sized Post-It’s/shapes and standardize them into one cohesive board. The feature I propose is to allow users to select a grouping of shapes (Post-It’s would be the most applicable to me) and use some sort of format painter to select another shape and have all the previously selected shapes to snap to the correct size. It would even be better if it would proportionally scale them so if you had some smaller shapes beneath another shape it would scale that smaller shape to be proportionally smaller in the new pasted format. Could also be great to allow some sort of checkbox where you can select/deselect what features/tags/etc. you want to be pasted similar to this example of the “MatchProperties” command in Rhino 3D:
