Folders (directories) in projectsIn Development

Organizing boards in projects works fine, but it’s not enough when you want to use Miro as a serious archive for ideas, project documentation and company knowledge. I observe that if there are more than 5-7 elements per directory, it becomes less and less usable. Every single initiative we start, creates 2-5 boards. And it’s just one initiative in one of our products. Without directories, project view becomes a mess and is completely unusable. For me, it’s absolutely essential to maintain a basic structure of our knowledge and lack of directories is a significant blocker. I think especially nowadays, when the whole world works remotely, there’ll be more and more boards that will desire the comfort of a cosy directory. :)

Marking boards with what project they are inOpen

I would love to have an easier way when looking at all boards in a team which is in which project at a glance. I recently had to dump multiple boards in a consolidation effort to a new team. At a glance it as difficult to sort and understand which boards where in what project when sorting them all into new project homes

Allow Users to Star/Bookmark ProjectsDuplicate Idea (closed)

With larger enterprises projects and boards grow exponentially and then locating the relevant projects gets difficult without having the ability to Search and/or Bookmark/Favorite the Projects. Appreciate if Miro can implement the feature to bookmark/favorite projects in addition to the the existing functionality of Starring/UnStarring the Boards

On left of dashboard, we have a list of project This list is sort by alpha. The idea to keep it KISS Choose “separator” (perhaps configurable if some account have already this symbol in a project name. If I create the following list of project group 1 - project 1 group 1 - project 2 group 1 - project 3 group 2 group 2 - project 1 group 2 - project 2 group 3 - project 1 group 4 - subgroup 1 - project 1 group 4 - subgroup 1 - project 2 group 4 - subgroup 2 - project 1 It’s display group 1 > group 2 > group 3 - project 1 group 4 > If I click on group 1 I see < < project 1 project 2 project 3 If I click on group 2 as group 2 exist, it’s both board container and sub-project containerI see < < group 2 project 1 project 2 If I click on group 4 I see < < subgroup 1 > subgroup 2 - project 1 Like this, it’s really portable, it’s only an interface hack. but still a list of project with a literal name. So yes, to rename group 4, I need to rename 3 projects… but it’s “simple” (and a bulk rename too

Import a timeline from Microsoft Project Pro for us on MIRO board.Open

I am building a MIRO board for a project and one way to keep the team on track is to include the timeline. As a project manager I'd love to import the timeline from Microsoft Project Pro so that I am not duplicating my work. Currently all I can do is put a screenshot of my timeline in a frame on MIRO. So I have to update it manually any time I make changes to the MPP doc. Ideally I’d import the timeline and be able to link from major milestones/deliverables to the document associated with that milestone/deliverable. Is there an app or plugin in the works for Microsoft Project Pro?

Favorite/Bookmark ProjectsDelivered

Currently all projects are ordered alphabetically. It would be very helpful to allow users to favorite/bookmark certain projects for quick access.

Collate Boards Shared at Board-Level Under the Appropriate Project (Instead of All Boards)Open

Currently, if a user is given permission to view a BOARD at board-level (i.e. they are not added to the TEAM or PROJECT) this board appears under “All boards” on their dashboard. This can get cluttered and confusing very quickly. Instead, I suggest that these boards should appear under a PROJECT link on the left hand side, as they would do if the user was given permission at project-level. This is especially useful if multiple boards from the same project are shared with a user as they would then be grouped under the appropriate project link. A workaround would be: Give each user permission at PROJECT level, but make sure all boards in the project have the “Anyone at ___ team” set to “No access”. Individually grant the user access to the desired boards at BOARD level. However, aside from being an additional chunk of work, I cannot do this because adding users at PROJECT level (and thus TEAM, as a project member has to be a team member) gives them access to the names and email addresses

Ability to Restrict Project Creation to Company/Team AdminsOpen

We have run into users creating duplicate projects inside of a team because they do not have access to the project that is already there or they can’t find the project at first glance. The option to restrict project creation to Company/Team admins allows a PM to organize the workspace and cut down on work duplication.

Ability for Enterprise Admins to View All Projects Inside TeamOpen

Currently, with Expanded Content Permissions, I am able to view and add myself to boards that I do not own. In order to better organize our company space, it would be extremely helpful to be able to view Projects without being added to them and without searching for them. Having them appear in the left toolbar as locked or even grayed out would make things more manageable.

Non-owner team members (such as students) cannot be prevented from creating projects and boards themselves within their team (class). This is a very common scenario.

Filter Boards by "No Project" or "Unassigned"Open

It’s great to group boards by project, but not everything makes sense to put in a project, and in the “All Boards” view, those few standalone boards get swamped by the zillions of boards that ARE project-related. (My workaround right now is to create a project just titled “no project” but it seems like something is always slipping through the cracks and it’s hard to find them.) There’s already a filter feature for boards, but only by ownership (owned by me vs. others). Would be great to be able to filter by “no project.” There’s a somewhat related request to be able to “tag” boards, and if tagging was implemented, I would just request that a “no tag” filter be available.

Manage Notifications at the Project LevelOpen

A digest of updates on all boards in certain projects would allow me to customize my notifications without getting as granular as subscribing to change notifications on each individual board. Currently, it’s all-or-nothing to subscribe to change notifications on all boards in our team.

Set a default board in a projectOpen

Would be nice to be able to “pin” a board so it always appears as the first one in a project. I have a project with many boards. I have created a sort of “Start here” board that I want to always appear as the first in the list for the project. This board contains useful information and documentation guidelines for all boards created in that project.

Share all boards located in a project with the whole team for editingOpen

When creating a project within a team there is a slider “Anyone in the team can view this project" It would be nice if below this there were a slider for “Anyone in the team can edit this project" This would negate the need to add team members to individual projects to give them the ability to edit or create boards. As an Admin in our Enterprise Miro account, this is a point of contention at times between our admins and users. Users needing to explicitly share projects within their teams, where they assume all team members would have edit access by default.

How cool would it be if you could create a clearer and more orderly PROJECT STRUCTURE on the Miro dashboard?Now you can combine several boards into separate projects and regulate access rights in them. But you must admit, if you transform such a model into a set of full-fledged folders, with the ability...- create subfolders inside project folders- set filters by creation date/relevance, etc.- move the most recent and important folders to the top...this would turn the bulky dashboard into a real Miro Explorer 💪🏻

Project organisation - Sub-Projects or boards within groupsOpen

We intend to use MIRO to communicate with vendors on a larger number sub-projects. This will include several rounds of feedback that would make a single board far too complicated and heavy for use in a project. The ability to create depth to a project will be invaluable! This is an example of sub-project categories that will help organise a large number of components for a single project. ... Project: Vehicles> Category: Large> > Category: Trucks> > > Board: FordTransit> > > Board: UPS> > > Board: IceCreamVan > Category: Props> Category: Monsters> Category: Characters The Category page would perhaps list all child page titles.This would be a huge win for quality of life and expand the capacity to which we use MIRO. Update labels to be more clear when creating a ProjectOpen

I’m using Projects to group boards, and often don’t share projects with any one. However, when adding a board to a Project, even if that Project is not shared with anyone, the interface prompts “Create Project and Share?” which is misleading and a bit scary. Can you update the logic/language here to clarify if the Board is actually going to be shared?

Visualize in the project list if a project is privateOpen

We do have the problem that many of our users in the company are not aware their projects are set to public an by that visible to >1000 people. It would help if in the project list a little icon (e.g. padlock) behind the project name visualizes that it is private / only visible to a defined group.
