Is there any simple way to add titles or searchable annotations to the captured pages?
I understand I can create text box or something, then group them, but it is awkward.

I’m afraid that the only editing option available for the Web Page Capture is the Crop feature. If you need to add content, the workaround is what you mentioned of adding text boxes - or other items you need - and then group them together.
