Saving to Google Drive: Update Filename

I exported a Miro Board to Google drive, and then updated the Miro Board name.  I want to export from Miro, with the new Filename, not rename it in Google Drive.

I get the “Already Saved to Google Drive”  prompt - so how do I force a name / doc revision?

I exported a Miro Board to Google drive

If you are using the “Save to GoogleDrive” option from the board export menu, this does not truly export a copy of your board - it simply creates a link to the Miro board:

If you delete the board, the link remains in your Google Drive and if you delete the link from the Google Drive, the board is not deleted in Miro - they are completely independent (the same as if you were creating a URL shortcut on your desktop to a Miro board.

Personally, I find this feature useless as the board is not backed up.

With this knowledge, do you still have any questions?

Was your desired outcome to have a backup version of the board? If you are on a paid or Education Plan, you can download a board backup (.rtb file). There are also previous versions of the board available in the board history panel → https://help.miro.com/hc/en-us/articles/360021668819-Board-history-versions
