I have two issues with the link usage, and i am not sure about them being just bugs or intentional. It seems as if it where bugs.
When i link objects (like images) to elements of the board, then it works fine when i continue to use the same board. However, when i save this board as a template, then SOME of the links continue to be directed to the elements within the same new board (instanciated from the template), and SOME of the links link back to the board where the template was originally saved from. It seems to happen randomly. This is why i suspect that it could be a bug. I always save frames as the linked elements, and the objects that carry the links are always imported images.
When i try to use the link to a template within a board, then this template used to open in a new instance and as a new board. For example, all of those links are supposed to open the respective canvas, which is itself saved as a template in the library. This worked until recently. But now, nothin happens.
Can anyone, especially from the Miro support team help me out with this issues?
Thanks a lot, best wishes

hi @DataDriverOlav
Sorry to hear about your issues. I have created a support ticket for you and someone will be in touch.
Once you find the source of the issues, please report back here, in case it can help future users. Thanks!
@DataDriverOlav - The Link to action generates links relevant to objects on the same board, which will continue to link to objects within the board to which they exist, even if you duplicate the board or restore it from a board backup. For example, you create a table of content on a board to point to frames within the board. When someone duplicates the board, the links will still point to frames within the same board.
And links created with insert link action creates absolute links, i.e., they will always point to the unique object/URL/site/etc. to which they were originally created to link to. For example, you create a master board with links to a bunch of other boards. And on each board, yo need to link back to the “master” board with all of the inks to other boards - here you would use the link feature.
As I mentioned: some of the links, which all have been using only the "link to" function, do link to objects within the same board, and some of them link to the original template board, as soon as the template is created.
Same for the "insert link" function: it does not work at all for linking templates (in order to link directly to a certain template via text). Just the "home" screen opens, and nothing else happens. This has been different before the introduction of some of the recent features. When I back then linked a template, it would open a new board with that template, when clicking on the link.
Thanks and best regards.
Benjamin
@DataDriverOlav - Yes, it does sound like something may have changed.
Once you have a response from the support team, if you could take a minute to share what the issue/resolution was, it may help others in the future (I’d be curious to know myself).
