Dear All,

Despite having deactivated the email notifications from the user settings profile, as a MIRO owner it seems I can’t prevent the automatic email notifications to my email address. Is there a way to stop emails about every comment someone is entering in the MIRO?

Hi @Chiara Zambon

Have you turned off Notifications for the Board as well as Projects and Teams? There are multiple settings that you would have to uncheck, and you’d have to uncheck for mobile, text and Slack.

Thank you for your help. We have removed the flag wherever possible but the owner still receives all emails

Hi @Chiara Zambon

So one other thing to check -- Notifications are set per each individual account, not per board. The settings are not universal; everyone has to set them for themselves.

So if the screenshot above is from your account, but not the owner account, it won’t work for the owner. Check that the owner’s account has everything turned off. Let us know if going into their account helps the situation.

Thank you for your feedback. The screen shot is unfortunately from the owner account, who is still receiving all notifications :(

🤔  Ok, new strategy. This article details multiple ways to check for notifications, including things like “following thread.” That could be a culprit. Can you try that?

Good news 🙂 thanks to this link we could finally understand that we were looking into the wrong settings and by entering the preferences and disabling the TAB “Follow all threads” the automatic email notification was finally over.

Thank you for your great support

Great to hear this, @Chiara Zambon! Appreciate you updating the thread; this will be useful to users who may come across this issue in the future.
