Hi all,

in our company we are using the Miro desktop app for Windows. Our security colleagues told us that we need to deactivate this app due to security reasons, as it is quite old and not as secure as the browser version. Can you tell me what are the main differences between the desktop app and the browser version from a security point of view? We noticed that the app version which can be downloaded for Windows is from 2017. And are there any disadvantages for the users when this app is disabled?

Thanks and best regards

Marcela

@Marcela Damaschke -

The desktop app version which should be downloaded is the one from the Miro site and not the Windows app store.

For technical details regarding the security differences between the two ways of accessing Miro I’d recommend opening a support request with Miro here: Submit a request – Miro Support & Help Center
