so is there a limit where in the usability of the board will not suffer?
we peaked at 195 users in our board and the loading takes forever.

Hi @James Brian Tan

Welcome to the Miro Online Community!

Make sure you are using an enterprise plan for 100+ team members!

and do check your internet bandwidth!

You can also ask Miro support https://help.miro.com/hc/en-us/articles/360020185799

@James Brian Tan -

The plan you are on shouldn’t affect the performance of your board. Have you taken a look at this Help Center page to see if there are ways to optimize the board for use by that number of users: https://help.miro.com/hc/en-us/articles/360013588560-Tips-to-Improve-Board-Performance ?

@James Brian Tan - There is absolutely no need to sign up for a 100+ team member account. While I have no experience with the Enterprise Plan, I presume that a 100+ member team would cost over $1,000 USD a month.

@James Brian Tan I facilitated 200 participants in South Africa 2 weeks ago on a single Miro board (I’m based in Singapore), and we had very limited lag or loading issues. Here are the 2 things you need to ensure if you’re having that many participants:

  • As little graphic images as possible in your Miro board. That will cause local-level slowness and loading problems. Vector images are fine though.
  • Turn off cursors. This is part of onboarding: you need to communicate this to participants to actively ‘hide cursors’. They look really pretty rad when everyone’s on at the same time, but takes enormous amount of processing power.

I wrote all about the experience here, if it helps!

Very much in line with Kiron’s advice although I’d focus on those 2. And certainly no need for enterprise plan. I had everyone on Guest Editors :joy:
