Hello all !

I am on free account plan. I want to re-edit a “view only” board. I’ve read that if I was changing the “sharing settings” on this board I was able to edit again this board but it remains in “view only”.

I don’t mind to set another active board in view only, in order to remain with only 3 editable boards but I can’t find a way to change my current active boards.

How can I do ?

Thank you very much in advance for your help.

@Adele Couturier -

As far as I know, there is no way to make a currently active board inactive. You could delete one of the three active boards which would then enable you to reactivate the board you wish to edit. This may require you to take a copy of the inactive board as I don’t think there’s an actual “make board active” switch.

Hello @Kiron Bondale thank you for your feedback.

I’ll try to copy my inactive board then

I will chime in here as I just answered a similar question two days ago.

If we look at the Free Free Plan Help Center article, we see the following:

That being said, you could Duplicate any view-only board which should result in the duplicated board being the most recently created board, therefore making it editable.

@Adele Couturier

I’ve read that if I was changing the “sharing settings” on this board I was able to edit again this board but it remains in “view only”.

This would only apply to boards that are locked, which happens when:

  1. someone was on a paid (or Education) plan,
  2. has made boards “private” by setting the team access to “No access”,
  3. and then later downgraded to the Free Plan.

More on this in the The board is locked Help Center article.

Hi @Robert Johnson thank you for those details. It’s clearer now for me.
I have finally duplicated and then remove my old “view only” board.
