Im trying to figure out how to have a conversation with teammates on a card in a story map (this could be extended to other use cases in Miro).

 

I noticed as I create a Story Map, either on the card or the modal when you open it up, there is no way to have a “conversation" on it. So far I figured out how to add a separate “Comment” from the toolbar. This way they feel disconnected. Figured I may be missing something. Is this something that is offered?

Other than including the conversation in the detailed description pop-up for the card, the approach you’ve used with adding a comment is pretty much the only option at present.
