High CPU use MBP M1 Pro

Why Miro’s CPU usage is so High even when there are no open boards? Just ideal Miro uses about 40% CPU (Miro Helper Renderer). I thought that using the native app will be quick and effortless especially on a M1 Pro chip.

Thanks,

Got the same issue with my M1 Macbook. I always kill Miro now if it is not in use...

@Helga - was there a solution to this? I’m noticing the same thing on my 14” M1 Pro using the app.

Even the current version of Miro Desktop App is struggling a lot on my MacBook. This isn't the case for Miro Web App running in Google Chrome.

Something seems to be wrong with the Desktop App. I figured that disabling Hardware Acceleration helps a little (Menu → Help → Hardware acceleration).

Hi. Same here, same with RAM. Any updates @Helga ?

Hi @Migrz,

Thank you for bringing this up. Since you're experiencing the same issue with high CPU usage and RAM, I recommend trying a couple of troubleshooting steps that have helped some users:

  1. Disable hardware acceleration in the app (Menu → Help → Hardware Acceleration).
  2. Ensure that your Miro app and macOS are both fully updated.

If these steps don’t resolve the issue, please contact Miro support for more personalized assistance. They can help you further investigate and offer specific solutions for your setup.

Thanks for your patience, and feel free to reach out if you need anything else!
