Hello

I am hoping someone will be able to assist with this query. My company is currently running an online training programme and one of our participants from a different organisation is receiving this webpage when clicking on the link to one of our Miro boards. He has signed up to a Miro account and is being asked to join another team in his organisation by the looks of things (I’ve redacted names for confidentiality). How do we go about solving this issue?

I can’t see a skip or a ‘join team later’ type of option so does he need to join or create a team in order to progress forward? He will need access to Miro again on Monday so it would be great to have some assistance as soon as possible.

This issue occurs when Miro autocaptures a user's email domain within an organization and prompts them to join a related team.

 

Here are a couple of options to resolve this:

  1. Join the Team: Advise your participant to join the team they’re being prompted to. Once they’ve joined, they can access the board link you’ve shared. Afterward, they can choose to leave the team if they prefer not to remain associated with it.
  2. Create Their Own Team: If they don’t want to join the suggested team, they can create their own team to bypass the prompt. After doing so, they should be able to access your board without any further issues.

If neither of these solutions works or if this prompt keeps appearing, you can suggest they reach out to Miro Support for further assistance.

Thank you for your reply, what does it entail for a person to create their own team and how long does it take? Can they set up a team on just them or will they then be prompted to ask others to join?

It’s important to know as some of our participants have been prompted to do this during a live webinar so don’t have much time to complete this. I assume this prompt comes up as part of a person’s signing up process when they join Miro?
