Best workflow for story mapping with apple pencil?

I’d like to use Miro board for story mapping, in particular the infinite canvas is perfect for the process. It simply entails writing a bunch of blurbs on index cards or stickies and then rearranging them into a matrix. The issue with Miro is that to my knowledge, the only way to adhere Apple Pencil drawn text to a sticky is using the group function. Having to do this manually for each sticky is very cumbersome, whether at the time of writing or going back and doing it afterwards so the elements can be rearranged, especially if I need to do it 30-50 times. Does a better workflow exist with Miro that I can use for this function?
