How to create personal team/project when you've been invited by someone else?

Hi there!

I run a small branding agency, and I was invited by a client to join their team on Miro.
However, now that I’ve joined I’d like to set up my own team profile with my own project and boards fully separate of the team that I’m on with my client.

I can’t figure out how to do this.

If I say I want to create another team it says I have to sign-up for a paid plan. So am I correct in assuming that to do so, I’d have to leave this team with the client, create my own team and projects and then ask the client to add me again as a guest member?

Or is there another way perhaps?

Thank you everyone!

Alex

@Alex Protsenko - This happens quite often. To create your own Free Plan team, you will have to leave all teams that your Miro account profile is a member.

In the following post, I outlined how you can do this, as well as how to copy over any boards that you may have created in the current team that you are a member of.
