A few questions before we purchase Miro

Some team members already use Miro (Free version) - Can we import their boards to the paid version we want to buy via our company?

Does the person paying for Miro have to part of the team  (we’re considering buying the Team version for 4 members..  Does the person paying for Miro have to be part of the Team… meaning we would need to pay for 5 members instead?)

Hi Alex!

So great to hear that you’re considering to use Miro for your company!

And thanks for this very good question - thankfully, moving boards between accounts is super simple!

To move a board to a different team, click the three dots, select Move to account, and specify the destination. The list will show you all the accounts you have access to.

If some members of the board are not a part of the destination team, their access to the board will be denied but you can copy the list of users and add them to the destination team before moving the board so the collaborators retain access (or you may also re-add them to the board after it's moved).

To answer your second question: No, the person paying for Miro - we refer to them as Billing admin - does not have to be a full member of the team and take up a license. Payment receipts are sent to the email address stated in the Billing section of your team settings. A Team Admin can provide any address there thus you don't have to take a seat in this case.

Our Help Centre article Admin rights provides more details on this, in case you’re curious :nerd:

I hope this is useful! If you have any further questions - you always know where to find us!

Happy whiteboarding!:crayon:
