Make sure that this app can be added to the board or to the frame.

I want to do an icebreaker session with the team and want to add the spinny picker wheel to a frame or board with all the necessary info already on it. So that we directly spin from the frame/board. Now I have to make for example sticky notes, put text on it and select them and then start the wheel from the sidebar.

Agreed & upvoted. I sometimes use other spinner wheels as well

Agreed!

Spinny Picker Wheel would be fantastic if it could be placed on a specific location on a board and the would remember the set of choices which have been configured.

Having to call it from the tools bar, agreeing that is can access board contents and then adding all choices over and over again is quite cumbersome.

Hi

I found an embeddable wheel, if of any help. you can use the embed app to integrate it anywhere on your board with the iframe code : https://pickerwheel.com/embed-tutorial/

Spinny Picker + Miro | Team Collaboration Apps Marketplace - just unable to get this working.  Anybody else had success?

@Ian Donaldson It’s working for me.

Are you able to connect/install the app?

Does it launch?

What is happening/not happening?

If you want to share a video, Loom is free and quite easy to use and share a link to a recoding.

Example:

Nice one @Robert Johnson - that’s a slick recording of Spinny Picker Wheel working, and I wish that’s what was happening for me.  I’ll have to look into Loom, but for now, an old-skool style:

It doesn’t seem to be installing/activating, goes round in a loop:

  • I look for Spinny Clicker Wheel in the Tools bar. It says not there.
  • So I try getting it from Maketplace (Connect and Run options)
  • Get message saying “App has been added”.
  • Look for it in the Tools bar again (to now use it). But still not there. But it is listed in the admin Integrations screen:

Screenshot: (doesn’t seem to load, dang)..

@Ian Donaldson - What you are describing is exactly what happens when a team or company admin of your plan has blocked the install of apps - there is no message about “contact an admin to install this app” and instead, the whole process goes like you’d expect, except the app is never actually installed and available.

@Robert Johnson nice one. That’s: App request flow – Miro Help Center

Done that, it appears to be all Approved:
(Screenshot showing the Allowed switch set to affirmative, for 20 teams):

Alas, still no success.
