I’ve used a couple of diagramming tools that have this feature and I always miss it when I’m using Miro. I’d absolutely love to see this one added.
Lucidchart has this feature however it doesn’t seem to appear in their keyboard short-cuts or help.
To use this feature, first hold down the 'Shift' key. Then, right-click and drag your mouse in the direction you want to move objects. As you drag, Lucidchart creates an invisible line at your cursor's location. Objects on one side of this line will move in the direction you drag, either horizontally or vertically. This enables you to quickly make space within your diagram by pushing adjacent objects away from the point where you are dragging, without the need to individually select and move each object.
If the point you choose intersects with resizable objects, they will be resized in the direction you move the mouse.
It’s a great time saver and I find it tends to reduce the break in rhythm when running a workshop or collaborative diagramming session than having to select items and then move them.
