I use the Kanban board like this:

When I want to connect elements this is the default display, Lines are in FRONT of the elements:

if you send the lines back, then they are Behind of the Kanban

it should be in between. I suggest when two elements in the same Kanban board are connected and when those connection lines are commanded to send back. The display should be as the first picture.
