Are there plans to allow non-owners to back up boards?

Hi,

We just lost a couple of weeks of work as the current user isn't the board owner and couldn’t back up the board.  Unfortunately, the board crashed and despite Miro restoring their version we have still lost about 16 frames of detailed work.

I know bulk or automated backups are on the cards are a common request but is there a current option or future plans to allow multiple board owners or allow Admins to back up boards that they didn’t create?

Thanks Ange.

@Angela Schroeder -

This might be a good wish-list idea to add (follow the guidelines here Wish List: Everything You Need to Know 🌠 | Miro) but the caveat is that this restriction is likely done by design to prevent casual participants from being able to walk away with an RTB file which they could then restore to their own Miro accounts. From an intellectual property theft perspective, this might be a major risk. So, to properly implement this, the Miro team would need to add it as a setting for the board owner (e.g. Enable backup by non-board owners) so the default is still the current behavior.
