Hi! I am fairly new to miro and am wondering if the following is possible. I have created a miro board with ideation and prioritisation templates. As part of a self-facilitated workshop I would like to make this board available for all teams in one organisation. However, every time a team opens the board it should be in its original state. Is it possible that people save my created board as a private miro board? Thanks :)
I just discovered the hard way that there’s a name length limit for Miro boards when creating them via the API: 60 characters. I discovered this when a client reported that a system that I’d built for him to automatically create new Miro boards for his projects came back with a failure on one particular project. In the API call, the only thing that I’m passing is the board name, and the intended board name for this project was 66 characters long. Through trial and error, I found the 60 character limit, but was a bit frustrated that this isn’t mentioned in the API docs.Could someone please update the docs to mention this limit, and maybe any other name length limits that need to be considered when using the API?

Hi there, New to Miro. I’ve created a board that I want to share in a training course tomorrow. I’ve prebuilt all my content. When I share the board, it shows everything highlighted as updated by me. The issue I have is that this is the first time people are seeing it, so they don’t need to see what’s changed. Is there a way I can turn this “feature” off? S
Hello,Over time, I have captured a wide variety of SVGs I used as quick design assets. All of them are inside PowerPoint. E.g., each slide has 20 SVGs according to a certain theme. Is there a way to import all these SVGs from the PPTX file into Miro?Copy+pasting doesn’t work since it converts the SVGs to PNGs.Thanks in advance for your help!
Hi, I can’t seem to find a way to change an existing member to a Team admin. The only option when I click the three dots after clicking on the member is to delete them from the team. Note that this is on an Education Account. Any tips?!?!
Dear Community,we're planning to set up a user research repository or a knowledge management tool in our company. I've looked through a dozen of tools and we're also considering Miro as one of the options, since we use it anyway. Do you have any tips on setting it up inside Miro? Here are my questions1. Is it possible to search between boards, for example search by tags that are used in multiple boards? I'm afraid that building one huge board will make it unusable after some time.2. The main advantage of using research repository tools, is that there you work with raw transcripts of audio/video, which then are highlighted, tagged and can be moved around. Any tips on linking/ connecting transcripts to Miro? The obvious solution is copy paste interesting parts to a spreadsheet and then import them all as notes/ cards. But maybe there's something else.3. Any plans to have search within documents, e.g. attached PDFs or for OCR (similar to Evernote)? Here are some links that I've gathered,
I’m relatively new to MIRO and my company have taken on the tool for in-house collaboration.My scenario is that I want to facilitate a session where collaborators will Sticky Note their ideas and then the group will dot vote on those to take forward. I’ve created my first board for this purpose.I want to preload the board with dot votes so I can concentrate on facilitation, rather than being a ‘board gardener/caretaker’, as I will be the sole facilitator.The problem is the last item added to the board is at the front, meaning pre-loaded dot votes will go behind a sticky note when moved by default. This was noticed by the two testers of my board as I have a frame where uses can familiarise themselves with MIRO when the dot votes disappeared behind their sticky notes.Is there anything I can do to smooth this process (other than have to ‘bring to front’ the dot votes during the session after the last sticky was added)? But in my opinion it was not answered becuase the question was about widgetType=CARD and the answer was widgetType=STICKER. So:I created a CARD via REST API (POST https://api.miro.com/v1/boards/${this._miro.boardId}/widgets ) with a metadata. I created a STICKER via REST API (POST https://api.miro.com/v1/boards/${this._miro.boardId}/widgets ) with the exact same metadata object like in 1. In the Browsers DEV Console I did a miro.board.widgets.get({id: "<id of the created STICKER>"}) → Result: the metadata was returned as expected In the Browsers DEV Console I did a miro.board.widgets.get({id: "<id of the created CARD>"}) → Result: the metadata object was empty. Expected was the same metadata content like in 3.So for me the behaviour for CARDs is different from the behaviour of STICKERs. Does this somehow make sense? Sorry if not repr

Like many of you, I am using Miro for live online participatory workshop events. Almost all of the people attending my events are brand new to Miro, and by far the most difficult part of the workshop is getting them over that first hurdle of learning how to use the tool well enough to participate. Half of the difficulty is teaching them what they should avoid doing by accident! This is much more difficult for people who are not digital natives, and in larger groups it is almost guaranteed that at least one participant will be lost and frustrated. What have you tried? What worked best?
Hello, For the life of me, I cannot figure out how to fill the initial oval of my mindmap. I’ve tried the highlighter, however if you go over even a little bit of what you highlighted, it causes that area to appear darker than the rest of the highlighted area. i can change the color of the outline of the oval, but no fill. Hi,I recently upgraded and now can’t login. It’s not accepting my password (which I know is right because I use a password locker), then when I try and change the password I am getting a response that my email address isn’t recognised despite it being the one my invoice and receipt have been sent to. I tried logging in via Google with the email address associated with the account as I thought perhaps that’s what I had done originally; which has logged me on, but my upgrade isn’t associated with the account. Have tried both Safari and Firefox with the same result and checked my other email addresses just in case but there isn’t nothing associated with Miro in them. Any thoughts?

I’m trying to change admin for my team on my free account from a previous staff member to myself. I expect it’s why I’m also having trouble changing ownership of boards through the sharing settings, which don’t show up the drop down option to change to ‘owner’. Appreciate you’re help on this :)

I participated in a workshop where the facilitator used Miro. He sent everyone a link. Every time I want to re-open this board I need to find the link, and it’s a pain. I can star the board to make it easier to find, but what I really want to do is figure out where the board is in the Miro app. How do I know what team it’s in? What if I’m not a member of that team? Is the link / start the only methods available to get back to the board??

Hi I have purchased 4 licences for my team but we also want to open some of the boards to the wider team? When I add none team members on a free licence they don’t seem to be able to edit a none project board? Is it the case that everybody in the company needs a full licence if they ant to contribute to a board? Thanks Ian
Hi,I’ve pasted a Google slides link for a specific slide within a presentationMiro inserts this as a preview, which is great!However, the preview is of the first slide, rather than the specific slide I pasted.Manually navigating slides within the miro preview is reverted on reload, so this is also not an option.How can I set the Slides preview to display a specific slide, rather than beginning from the first slide? I upgraded to a Team plan.However, when I open a board created by another company, I cannot use the paid functions.Is this a Team plan?If I have a Business plan, can I use paid functions on boards created by other companies?
I’m hosting an ideation session where we’ll break out into multiple rooms, but we’ll all be using the same Miro board.I’ve created the four voting sessions in advance, but my question is, will each breakout room be able to vote simultaneously on their separate boards? Or will we have to wait until the first voting session is over?
Hey Folks. i have a board. In a board i have 10 frames. Each frame has very specific list of objects(30-35).now i want to select specific frame and specific objects only so that i can copy and paste. please dont tell me to duplicate. because i end up spending time in deleting unnecessary objects which i dont want. i also dont want to select objects using multiple mouse clicks. how do i do it ? why mouse drag is not working here ? Mural does allows selecting areas and its object by simply mouse and drag and then copy and paste. what am i missing here ?
