Hey y’all!

A while ago, Miroverse champions @Helena Brandist and @Anna Savina initiated a discussion about common pitfalls of first-time Miroverse creators. I figured a checklist might be of some help for people who want to submit templates to Miroverse, since there are a few pretty important things that are easy to miss.

Enjoy!

And here’s a TL;DR community version:

  1. 🛠 Start with a prototype board. When you’re done, copy-paste the content to a fresh board and submit the new board to Miroverse.
  2. 🔍 Consider the zoom level!
  3. 👑 Establish a dynamic visual hierarchy.
  4. 🕵️‍♀️ Give your template a searchable name (but don’t stuff it with keywords).
  5. 🔐 Group and lock shapes.
  6. 🏁 Set a start view.
  7. 👍 Give your board a nice preview thumbnail.
  8. 👩‍🏫 Add instructions, examples, and facilitator notes.
  9. 🗺 Make it easy for people to navigate by numbering sections.

Special thanks to @Steven Sampson-Jones, @Emily Webber, @Said Saddouk and @DWestgarth for contributing with examples of common pitfalls in the original community thread!
