Return to Previous Frame in Presentation

Sometimes when I create a presentation of frames using the left Frames panel, I want to return to a previous frame.

Instead of duplicating the frame and hoping that I can keep track of changes to either or both, I’d like to instead “duplicate” the same frame in the list of frames to be presented. This wouldn’t cause a loop because it could continue on.

So using Frames A B C D E F and G as examples, my presentation flow could be A B C D B E F B G, with B being a recurring slide and idea.

@Taylortaylor - I see what you are saying as I have had to refer back to a previous slide myself.

For all readers, other than duplicating the entire slide, a few workarounds for jumping to to/from slides could be to use:

  1. The Interactive Presentation Mode’s “Frame list” picker:
  2. Use the Internal Linking feature to create links withing your frames:

Robert,

Thanks for the alternative routes. It’s obviously not ideal to fill my frame with linked text or work with another user interface to go to the slide I intended to be part of my flow from the beginning.

The bigger drawback of course is when I export my frames as a PDF slideshow to stakeholders and I cannot specify a return to a frame. It would be very easy to add an “existing frame” in the left presentation panel!

Thanks,
Taylor
