Designing for Behavior Change
Join me in this workshop to strategically embed behavioral economics (BE) principles to design a mobile app that helps users have more sustainable online shopping experiences. We will use the framework & toolkit Designing for Behavior Change created by the Toronto-based strategy design firm, Bridgeable, and the financial research lab at Duke University, Common Cents (now Center for Advanced Hindsight). In the workshop, I will first provide an overview of the framework and how behavioral economics adds customer & business value to product design. Then, I will introduce you to a persona & user journey, and together, we will go through an ideation session using Dan Ariely´s BE principles to understand current users´ behavior. Levering the same principles, we will ideate how to help users make their online shopping experience more sustainable. I look forward to strategizing an awesome sustainability-driven user experience with you!
