Double Clicking to create a new object doesn’t work if you’re doing so on top of locked object; instead, double clicking selects that locked object.

It is difficult to create custom board backgrounds for workshop activities due to this behaviour. Locked objects should not be selectable. Sticky note creation should be supported, even over locked elements. Mural handles this very well.
