German Version

I personally can work fine with the English version. But I have met quite a few people in last couple of month who struggle with that quiet a lot. 

I absolutely agree. For some colleagues its a struggle to switch between languages too. We fill the content in German, but the website is in English. The struggle is real!

I agree with the comments above and I’d like to seize the opportunity to suggest adding the Brazilian-Portuguese version of Miro.

You are addressing a crucial topic. The German speaking part of Europe can’t work and focus clearly on content, when commands and templates are in English. This is one of the large weakness’ of miro, in our point of view. It makes implementation at a higher education institution hard and restricts a broad diffusion into the standard teaching and learning formats.

We would appreciate it very much, if miro will provide it’s solutions in multilanguages. Thanks for reconsidering in advance.

Miro doesn’t do this. Maybe it is because they had grown so fast

I don’t know if anyone at Miro knows how serious it is to customize their product for the German market.

Till now it seems to me:

“We create offices in Berlin / Munich … but we will not to pay any other price to customize the product”

The Data-Security is only one object that focused any other market but not the European / German

In my own subject I had intense contact to a German lawyer from Hamburg (a specialist in Data-Security and in GDPR and he told me to avoid users to invite them to my miro boards and he cannot tell any of his client to use Miro… so the consequence is: I cannot collaborate in real with my audience …

And a lawyer from Munich has contacted me … he was in the same way frustrated than me … but his client won’t use Miro with a lot a lot of licences and money …

Miro is loosing a lot of customers because of this but it seems they didn’t care … because there are no numbers how much $ the loss is ...
 

We’ve got a German section here in the community but we cannot upload any German template into the Miroverse … Because of this we cannot download any German template …

There are Template Challenges but only for English templates … we’ve got even yet enough German Miro users that are specialists in creating German templates so why not giving them a chance to create some. I am shure there are enough good German users for a Jury …

Miro is taking two steps forward and then three steps backward into the German market … everything only half-hearted and inconsistently

But a realistic question is:
How long does this girl wait for the boy … Maybe one day she will meet a boy that fits better to her and her needs … so in real she would maybe sing:

Can see MIRO have that layer of translation based on language. Where I see the challenge potentially is around translation of templates, depending on what language they are built from. The use case I see is if you are building for inclusion and you have the following scenario:

1. Team 1: Germany
2. Team 2: Canada (English)
3. Team 3: French
4. Team 4: Japan

If the board creator builds it in German for example and you do the collaboration with teams out of Canada, France, and Japan, could it translate based on the language selected by the user? This way it invites inclusion for all collaborators involved if it’s an international collaboration?

Thanks for sharing your thoughts. Primarily in Germany, Switzerland and Austria MIRO is used among German speaking participants. The same will be the case in Spanish, French etc. That’s why an english interface only is a substantial obstacle for many countries and people speaking other languages. The same reasoning counts for the templates. 

I agree, that MIRO of course also offers great potential for international collaboration. Usually English is the language spoken in such meetings and scenarios. And this already works. An instant translator that offers MIRO boards and contents in multilingual manners of course would be awesome. So far artificial intelligence is not that far yet, I suppose.

As for MIRO as a company, they should think in a national/ country perspective. And a need for more languages than English to me is crucial, to make MIRO within education a mass solution.

Wenn miro sich schon nur oberflächlich um eine “Eindeutschung” der Website kümmert und sich noch nicht einmal sich Zeit nimmt die englischen Screenshots gegen Deutsche zu ersetzen …
