An amazing amount of work went into creating a mind map with Sticky Notes and someone accidently CLUSTERED the Sticky Notes using the cluster tool in the fly out menu available when all Sticky Notes are selected. It wouldn’t UNDO.Catastrophe!!!I have tried to restore the Board to before the clustering occurred without any success. Does anyone know if there is a way to undo a cluster? Tried all the obvious things 😭
When I read a sticky note that is inside an Frame with the v2.0 REST API, the position object contains a “relative_to”:”parent_top_left” value. While this can be helpful, the “relative_to” field is not documented in the position object documentation. Additionally, when trying to add a new sticky in relation to the previous one I read, if I use the “relative_to” field, I get the message "Field [position.relativeTo] is not supported". If I get the frame, it returns a positions “relative_to”:”canvas_center”. In order to read a sticky and position another one relative to it, I have to get its parent, determine it’s width and height, calculate the top left position, calculate the sticky’s position relative to that, then position my new sticky relative to canvas_center (although without specifying that). Having things you read be relative to something different than what you write is very awkward. It would also be helpful if the documentation could explain this instead of having to find
Hello everyone,i am a student in germany studying business informatics. Beside that i am working in a company in a dev team. For my studies i have to carry out a project and i thought about creating an interface for the company i am working in, that exports the data structure of the classes and imports them into a miro board and creates an UML diagramm. Before I start, I wanted to know if it is at all possible to transfer data (e.g. in JSON or CSV/XML format) via an API to Miro and finally create a UML diagram with it.I have already read a bit of the documentation and found very cool information about creating shapes, notes and so on. But is there also the possibility to create a kind of “UML-Shape”? Or do i have to programm that by myself (like connecting multiple rectangles in a right order).I look forward to your answers 🤗Thanks in advance
I am trying to prepare an Estimation on my Miro board. I have added Jira tickets that need to be estimated, they are within the boundaries of the Estimation area but when I go to pick the board and choose the correct one (or any for that matter), I get the error message that Story points not set up for this board. I made sure that ticket that is chosen is the one that is ready for estimation and it is Story. I have then tried that for other tickets for other boards and always get the same error. Any idea what am I doing wrong or what needs to change. We have previously used Planning Poker on Jira.
We are developing an App where we want our users to use miro and create a mindmap and once they’re done we want to export that in json file without lossing the structure. For example: There is an user who wants to create a certain course on our platform so we give the user to mindmap everything they want and later we can use that mind map to structure a course for the user.Is this possible? if yes, how? I want to use the REST API to read the structure of mindmap. Actually I want to do the following.List MindMaps Convert mind map structure to json file. Thanks
Hi!I’ve been building a custom Miro app with React, which includes drown-down selections (using <form>, <selection> and <option> tags). When testing this in browser-based Miro (both Chrome and Safari), all is looking right. However, when testing it in the native Miro app (on Mac), suddenly the dropdown menus appear in a completely wrong position, see two screenshots for comparison. What might cause this issue and how to solve?
Hi crew,Hope your December is off to a great start. I can’t believe 2023 is so close! As the year comes to a close, I’ve been reflecting on processes that I can improve in the new year. In particular, I’m zeroing in on a better way to fairly assign work. One of the biggest learnings for us at Use All Five this year came out of our DEI Training with Peoplism - that your employees may find a different level of value in each project than management believes. It’s crucial for employees to feel valued and like their career is progressing, so this exercise of aligning on what’s considered a “High Value” vs. a “Low Value” project becomes paramount to retention. They provided this worksheet for us that we’ve been using. My plan is to turn this into something in the Miroverse soon. I’m curious to hear from you:How are you assigning work at your company? Do you look through the lens of high / low value projects currently? Is this a Miro template you would use? Or is this better suited in another
I recently found two boards on my account that weren’t mine and six users I hadnt added. One user I had added to view a board a year ago, closed down the board, but didn’t knew I also needed to remove her as a user. When I found the security glitch, I removed all the users she had added from the account. They then proceeded to request access, which I denied. Later they somehow reaccessed the account and their boards. I then removed all external link access, as well as the users, once again. They no longer can access their boards. The external users have since claimed this was unintentional access to my account. My question to the Miro community is how this could’ve actually been unintentional, and how after I removed them as users they were still able to reaccess the account (before I removed all link access).Adding that this is a free account.
The “boards” rest API returns a number of attributes including “createdAt”, “createdBy”, “modifiedAt”, and “modifiedBy”. Is there a way to get the “last_opened” attributes? One can sort the results by “last_opened” date, but the details on the “last_opened” event are not returned e.g., “lastopenedAt” and “lastopenedBy”.I am building a solution to delete boards that have not been used within a set time period. I would like to include both the last opened and last modified dates into my deletion criteria.
We have a set-up whereby we use the ‘Send to Interactive Display’ feature with our Viewsonic Board. When the host starts the meeting, the facilitator controls are displayed at the bottom of screen, which gets in the way of the material on the Miro board. Is there a way to hide it?
Our company just ditched Lucid and I’ve imported all of my AWS diagrams (in a .vsdx format). However, I immediately see that a large number of AWS icons from anything equal to or newer than the AWS 2019 shape library are not being translated upon import. I assumed this was because the shape was missing from your library, but suprisingly, a lot of them are there. Some examples are WAF, Lambda, ALB, NLB… were there but the shape wasn’t used upon import. All I get is a silhouette of the shape that is a solid color. PostgreSQL, PostgreSQL Proxy, and VPC Endpoint Service are just non-existent for example. This is a horrible experience especially for a VERY standard format of .vsdx. I would understand if this was a proprietary Lucid format but Visual Studio has been around forever. Please make this better. I have too much work already built that is AWS compliant to have to effectively redraw everything. Please fix this. The AWS shape library is also incomplete and I’m unable to accurately dra
Hi, the problem I have is that the + symbol overlaps with the resize button when trying to add a new node with the iPad. If I zoom in a lot I’d get to do it, but having to zoom in all the time would be very counter productive. I’ve attached screenshots on what I’m experiencing. Is there a workaround to this using iPad with Apple Pencil? Plus symbol when I zoom in a lotOverlap in normal view
Hello, first question here.I was wondering if I can share a link to a board for users without a Miro account/license that enables them to be able to cast votes without having to enable edit permissions for the link. Without it guests can access the board but every couple of seconds they get the pop-up that notifies them”Voting session started”. The guest clicks “Join now” but the pop-up re-appears.Any idea if I did something wrong here? Thanks for the help.
Migrating this request from @Mykola Bashlakov and @JasonM Conversation of the same topic (Sunsetting Web Page Capture sucks! Bring it back!!! | Miro) to create a Wish List Idea, allow for upvoting.I am thunderously in support of this idea. It was a super elegant and functional tool, particularly for carrying out web-based research efforts. Double-click cropping was also a next level component, unless I’m mis-remembering. It would be great to have it back again.
On some of my diagrams, the arrows point up or down, rather than sideways. When the arrow points sideways, having the text aligned with the arrow is fine, but when they point up or down, it would be nice if the text could flip 90 degrees so it’s more readable without having to turn your head to one side.
When syncing multiple artboards the sync does not:Remember the relative position I used in the Sketch file Remember the link to previously sync’d artboards. It brings each artboard in as a new file.My work arounds are:Sync and position manually (very tedious with complex flows) Sync one artboard at a time (even more tedious with complex flows)I just want to his Sync All or Sync Selected once, not 100’s of times per day when I am making updates to my screens. I have been putting up with this behaviour for a very long time. It use to behave itself properly. Does anyone else have this problem and how did you fix it?Can someone please help?Cheers
