Cannot add text in Grid

Hi @Karen Opas and @Sarah Wirth, Adding text in Grids still seems to be a bit unresponsive. Something that might help is zooming closer to the cell and double-clicking. You might have to double-click a few times before you’re able to type. I did align the text in the grid to be centered, so I found myself needing to click towards the center of the cell. How to select multiple empty sticky notes

Hi @Nick Logan, While there isn’t a “select all empty stickies” function in Miro, the only thing I can think of for quickly selecting the stickies is holding down Shift+drag over the empty stickies. While not ideal, as you’ll have to select around the stickies with data you want to keep, it’s faster than deleting each empty sticky one by one. Michael Sohn

Hi @tony k,   Would changing the thickness of the border do the trick? You can change the opacity of the border as well. I made a short clip on changing the border thickness, where you will see the option to change the opacity right below. I see you posted this to the Wishlist, so if changing the thickness/opacity isn’t quite what you’re looking for, hopefully the Miro team will add the desired function soon. I hope that helps! Create stack of sticky notes

Hi @Arthur Krier, Just to clarify @Kiron Bondale’s reply. You are able to create blank stickies using Bulk mode.  Instead of typing anything, simply press Enter for however many stickies you want to create, and then Ctrl/Cmd+Enter when you are done. Select the color circle to change the color of the bulk stickies. Repeat these steps for however many sections of different colored stickies you need. You could have sections of blank stickies that looks like this:   Using Bulk Mode to Create Multiple Stickies If you’re looking to literally stack the stickies, one on top of the other, I believe the only way to do that is to manually drag each one over a single sticky. Cant request invitation

Hi @Dmitry_P, If I’m correct, I don’t think you are able to request to be invited to a board in Miro. You are only allowed to invite and share your board with others. So, you’d need to personally reach out to the owner of the board so that s/he could invite you. I hope that helps! Michael Sohn

Support Chrome’s shortcuts on Miro boardsOpen

Hi @Matthew Polichette, Thanks for sharing that video. It’s interesting, because I just opened Miro in Chrome with additional tabs again, and now those keyboard shortcuts aren’t working. But it was perfectly fine the first time. Maybe it’s a bug? I’d suggest you submit a ticket to Miro Support and see what they say. I’ll play around to try and figure out what it could be. Hi @Matthew Polichette, So, if I’m understanding correctly, you’re not able to change tabs using those keyboard shortcuts? I just opened a Miro board and nine other new tabs in Chrome, and I’m able to use those keyboard shortcuts just fine. I’m not sure if this issue is because of Miro, as it might have something to do with your keyboard or Chrome? But I don’t know. Were these shortcuts working before opening Miro, and now they aren’t? How to unshare

Hi @elliot duff, Let’s see if we can get this figured out! Per this help article, it says “All invitees will receive an email notification and will be able to start working right away — the invite will be active for 30 days. If a non-registered invitee doesn't accept the invite within 30 days, it expires and the user gets deleted from the list.” So, if you didn’t receive and click the link, I’m not sure how you would have joined his untitled board. This is quite confusing! Perhaps, are you and this person on the same team/project? If so, you might have to leave the team/project. Note that leaving the team will cause you to lose access to the boards on the team, including the ones you created. What might be the easiest solution that I would recommend is have this person click Share on the untitled board → Manage access → and change the access to Remove. Michael Sohn

Board notifications

Hi @Patrick Degenaar, If I’m understanding correctly, you’d like the ability to receive Miro notifications similar to how you receive Dropbox notifications, on the bottom right-hand corner of the board, instead of receiving the updates via email. Hi @elliot duff,   I’m sorry. I’m a little confused by what you mean. If someone else invites you to their board, you need to click the link to join it. But if you start a workshop, only the people you’ve invited/who have the link to your board will be able to join. Michael Sohn

Hi @Sarah, What you could do is use Bring everyone to me. That way, your students (collaborators) will automatically follow you. You can find more details on this help article. You could also use Presentation mode, but that would put the board as view-only, so your students wouldn’t be able to edit anything. But that would be a way to keep your students focused on where you want them to be. I hope that helps! Michael Sohn
