Hi, for a workshop I will have to run a few powerpoint presentation for a plenary session in between working times on Miro . What is the added value of those different options? and the drawbacks... adding a googleslide in Miro, play it from Miro and sharing my screen to the participants? playing the googleslide ( or powerpoint) on my computer and sharing my screen on zoom? creating frames with one page of my powerpoint per frame and use the presentation mode? Thank you so much for your help
Hello, with my team we are considering to develop an API in order to do, remotely, some workshops that we used to do in-class. It is a bit unclear to me if it would be easy for the clients to use it and if guest editors could use it. Thank you, F
Dear all. I searched but can't find (if there exists) the answer to this: is it possible to link to a search? A link to a search could help highlight some objects in the canvas. It's like a link, but with multiple (and dynamic, since I can create a link and someone after add other objects that appears into that search results) destinies. Thanks a lot for your time and attention... :)
Hello - we open our board, zoom in to the content we’ve uploaded previously and those PDFs start to load, but then disappear completely. They even disappear on the map (no more blue rectangles). This started last night. Any tips? I emailed support.
Today I was hosting a MIRO session with 13 participants. I mailed everybody a link to the session, but one participant, and one only , ended up in a wrong session/on another board. Closing down the browser and doing it all over didn’t solve the problem. What to do? Here are two problems: 1: One of my participants can’t join the board 2: If one of my participants can join a foreign board, others can join my board. And I don’t want that to happen. Ever.
I’d like to use Miro for my client’s training like a workshop. But I’m wondering if it is possible to make them not to download or copy images that I upload on board? Conditions are below: - free plan - they are team member, who can edit the board - some use cases needed preconditions or background info - they can see the information that is strictly confidential Thank you.
I recently held a pro-bono session in Miro with random people, using a free account and shared the board’s link with editing rights to anyone who had the link. One of the invited later came back to me and explained that they didn’t want to access the board because of the below message. In steps they: 1. Clicked the link I had shared with them 2. Landed on the sign in page 3. They provided their work email (big corporate email) 4. They landed on this screen: How should I handle these cases, I guess the information is provided not by Miro, but by an external party, probably the IT department controlling the email domain that was used? Needless to say, this will definately not improve adoption rates of users… :)
Hi, I’ve seen some similar posts, but I am still a bit confused. I am new to the Free plan, and am running a workshop with about 20 people who have never used Miro. I tried to invite a couple folks to test my board, but they never got the invite. (I sent invite via the Share button on the board). Do they have to have accounts already for me to be able to invite them? How do I invite them to my board? This is a group who have never even heard of Miro. Do I need to purchase a day pass for the participants? Thanks. I feel like I’m missing something super obvious. I’d love to use Miro for the workshop.
Hi! I go off the grid every Monday and yesterday was my first day to evaluate which apps depend on the cloud. Unfortunately, Miro doesn’t seem to deal with this scenario very gracefully: How does Miro support offline use? I’d like at the very least, be able to view my boards read-only and it would be a bonus to create new boards offline to be uploaded and seen by my team later.
Hello, I was reading through the different plans and am not sure which one is right for my company. I think we fall somewhere in between Consultant and Business but am not sure which plan is best for our set up. We will be holding ongong 2-day training courses with up to 30 students and each course will have a new group of students each time. We would like to give the students access to the boards for their class up to 2 - 2 ½ weeks. What would be the best plan to use for that? If I read correctly one option would be to purchase the Consultant plan and invite them as Anonymous Guest Editors but we’re thinking we want a link that’s not public and we can see who using the boards for each class. Is the Business Plan our only alternative? If so, do we purchase the amount of member licenses we think we’ll use and then add and remove students as needed? Thank you! Lisa
Hi All - I created a board under one team and I’m trying to move it to another team. I think I should be able to do it with the “Move accounts” menu item in the three dot drop down but when I activate the drop down that menu item isn’t there. Anyone got any ideas...this is currently driving me a bit nutty as moving a board between two teams should be an easy thing to do.
Is there a way to disable connection lines from post its and other shapes? I’m running a workshop with 30 people who are new to Miro, and on a run through people kept accidentally adding connection lines to their post its and getting confused. It can also make the board look really messy!
Hey all, I'd like to delete and move boards from a 'free' tier team to our subscription tier team. But the options seem to have disappeared from the board menu. Specifically: 'Move to account' and 'Delete'. They are present in the paid tier account. Does anyone know how I can move or delete these boards from the free tier team?
Hey everyone, I’m a Miro newb and have accounted an issue I can’t quite rectify - hopefully someone can explain to me what I’m doing wrong. After selecting the artboards in my Sketch file I want to import into my Miro board, I select the Miro for Sketch plugin. When I open the dropdown in the modal, to select the Miro board to sync to, I can’t see my board. I can see other boards, but not mine. Could it be: Something to do with changing the name of the Miro board (not sure if it has as this project has recently been handed over to me) or because my Miro login is my client email address and my Sketch login is the agency I work for, or something else? Thanks in advance, Em
I looked over at my remote partners screen today as he shared on zoom - and his miro board looked different to what I was seeing. I had created a template, with some arrows that had their edges hidden behind a solid circle, but on his screen they had come to the front and were visible. Has anyone else had this problem? I find it anxiety-inducing as workshop participants might not be seeing the same as what you may be viewing on the screen as facilitator - and if things look terrible (like that did) it affects your reputation and the quality of what you are presenting.
