Take control of your (virtual) space with Miro’s improved timer plugin! Set your timer during group activities to keep everyone on track and play background music to get people in the right mindset.  The improved timer allows you to:Time box an activity such as brainstorming or voting Pause the timer when needed  Add time to the timer with the click of a button  Choose royalty free background tunes The new timer plugin is available on Education, Team, Consultant, Business, and Enterprise plan.    Visit the Help Center to learn more.

Hello Community, We’re excited to announce that you can now create diagrams using code with Mermaid and PlantUML apps right in Miro.  With these apps you can automate the process of generating complex diagrams with a simple text language — so you don’t have to worry about design and layout. No need to align diagrams or manually update designs — design and layout are automatically applied Copy your diagram code from other sources like GitHub or Notion to automatically re-create your diagram in Miro Visit the Marketplace to install Mermaid and PlantUML  Note, in this first version code will generate an image. We’re curious to hear your feedback and input for the next version Updates!Both apps support editing (only on newly created diagrams). To edit, select the image generated by one of the apps and then click the toolbar icon. The source of the original diagram will be loaded in the editor. We are introducing anonymous Guest Editors – the quickest and easiest way to invite collaborators that don’t have the Miro account yet.  Invite anyone outside Miro to collaborate with your team on your public board without any friction or additional costs. Guest Editors don’t have to sign in or sign up for Miro to have full access rights to the board that is shared with them via a public link.  Organize remote meetings, brainstorming sessions, and workshops in minutes – simply make your Miro board public and share the link with workshop participants.  Don’t worry about losing access to the board if you accidentally close the tab or refresh it – as long as the board is public, it will be shared with Guest Editors. Some of you may know about this already since you were participating in the public beta, others will hear about this exciting update for the first time today… Long story short, the updated board UI is coming soon to all Miro users 🥳New and existing Miro users on the Free, Team, Business, Consultant, and Education Plan will be gradually receiving this update until mid-February.Enterprise Plan customers will get the updated board UI in March. Please, bear with us as we update key customer-facing touch-points including the Help Center, and try out the refreshed, scalable board interface with faster discoverability of key features during your next collaborative session.Please, visit the Help Center to learn more about the update.

Hide content so that it stays private until the right moment to share it.  Stay in control of when content is revealed on the board so you can set the stage, design workshops content step-by-step, and maintain a private space on your boards. Available on all paid plans. We’ve been especially focused on improving Miro UX in the past two to three months, and Auto Layout has been one of those changes we implemented to help our users work in Miro faster and more intuitively than ever before.    Let us know what you think. We’re making it easier and more secure to support external collaboration with a new role in beta: guests. It’s totally free and exclusively for our Business and Consultant Plan users.  We’ve also simplified our existing roles to empower collaboration at every level: Anonymous guest editors are now visitors. Now you can set up voting ahead of time to save time during online meetings and workshops while making them more engaging and interactive. Prepare your voting session as you normally would (select its duration, decide how many votes per person you want to allocate, pick the voting area and types of objects your collaborators can vote for). After that, click on 'Save to vote later' and come back to your voting session when its time comes.
