Is there a way to review a document over time?

Is there a way to review a document over time - like see what it looked like a day ago? Kinda like how you can see changes in google docs?

@Stephanie -

That would be awesome if Miro provided the ability to view a board at a given point in time!

Unfortunately, other than doing regular backups and restoring from a backup and/or duplicating a board, I don’t believe there is any way to achieve this.

Miro does have an activity log, so it would be a cool wish list idea to enable someone to click on an activity log entry and see what the board looked like at that point in time. If you post that as a wish list item, I’d vote for it :smile: !

Good to know! I also vote for that as a new feature :p

How do you do a ‘regular backup’?

Thanks!

Found it...

Is it now possible to do version control?

Userlevel 1

No, the version control still isn’t available in Miro. But the Activity Log can provide you with some insight as to what has changed!

I just lost all my valuable content as an unidentified user came in and scrambled or group all my items! Can’t believe there’s no way to restore them items or undo. I won’t be using Miro again until the fundtuoanlity is there as it’s just oo vulnerable.

Sorry to hear that @MinaHesar - right now, the best workaround to prevent this is to lock all content which you don’t want participants to “mess” with and select the option which only enables you to unlock them.

Are there elements that can’t be locked?  I highlight a large area and get the below. There is no lock icon or option

Hard to say. I’ve seen this before as well where I select an area and it won’t let me lock all the objects but if I individually select them using Shift-Clicks, I can lock them.

Thanks @Kiron Bondale I played around it and it seems like if I have a “grid” element, then anything in the grid is not lockable.  This happens in two different boards and I’m not sure how I got grids.  One is a swim lane and one is a 3x4 matrix.  The only reason I think they are grids is when I hover over them, I get a “send feedback” link that appears and when I click it, it asks me to survey the grid.

For other areas, I can lock a large number of objects.
