Howdy :wink:

This week Spotify has been officially launched in Russia! Yay :tada:

I am a music fan. Really! I listen to music anytime, anywhere :headphones:

Here is my top list of Spotify playlists for work:

Let’s see what Miro Pioneers listen to relax, focus, and be productive. Or maybe you prefer silence to concentrate?

@Marina -

I’m a Sirius/XM Satellite listener so I use their online platform when working - haven’t switched to Spotify yet. If I’m doing something creative in the zone, then it is either Octane or Liquid Metal for me whereas if I am reading something I prefer symphony orchestras at a low volume :grin: .

Wow! I had no idea that Russia didn’t have Spotify before!

I’m a fan of Lo-Fi beats as well. If I’m not listening to podcasts, I’m probably listening to something from GameChops. It’s all a bunch of really chill beats adapted from classic and popular video games, like Mario and Pokemon.

I'm a lifelong fan of Northern Soul. Basically, these are soul tracks by American artists in the 1960s that were never mainstream hits and forgotten by the world. No one got famous.

Then in the 1970s, British kids in north of England discovered these tracks and underground soul clubs appeared in the UK.

They are really dance floor stompers. Fast tempo and heavy beats. I dance to these when I need to get work done.

Here's my Spotify list for my favourite Northern Soul tracks:

:blue_heart:  My new favourite thread!

@Kiron Bondale, @Kyle.C, @Isman Tanuri, thank you all for sharing :hugging:

Kiron, this music is new for me, but I listened to a couple of tracks and I liked A whole new place by Octane.

Kyle, the playlists are amazing, added to my library.

Isman, for me this soul music has a winter-holiday-New-Year spirit :snowman2:

Something I tried and it was a lot of fun. I had my class for 3 continuous weeks and I made a collaborative playlist on Spotify where the students could upload their favorite songs, and while giving the time of our class and during the activities randomly playing their own songs, it was a small detail but it helped to keep the high morale among students.

AT this momento this playlist is no more collaborative, but you can check the results:

@Marina

Maybe you can create the official collaborative playlist for the Miro community 😅

This is a mix that covers my complete 7 years in Chicago, chronologically-sorted to the week (I get compulsive about organizing playlists). 555 tracks. The cap-off point is March when I made my way to Michigan.

Open offer to whomever - if you provide an abstract phrase I will make a ten-track mix based on the theme.

I used to share albums with a buddy on a Miro board. They embed really cleanly. We could start one up in this community that allows for pasting playlists within a qualifier matrix. Set the matrix parameters around non-genre based descriptors. For example, Uptempo / Downtempo by Vocal / Instrumental, or Vocal / Instrument by Electronic / Acoustic, stuff like that.

@Kyle Chipman  a Miro playlist! I wonder what would be on that!

Those Northern Soul dancers are absolutely brilliant. I always love watching them. It is so strange that the music took root in this small location in England.

PS  enjoyed your session with Joshua last week

It doesn’t appear to be on Spotify, so I can’t add it to my playlist.
