Hey, fellow product managers! How many feature requests do you have in your backlog? And how many of them will you actually implement? Does the user ever hear back again about their idea? Oof, customer requests... Tricky they are! Like you, we at Miro love our customers, and they love us back: we get lots of great feedback and tons of amazing, elaborate feature ideas. There are several channels that we are tracking: NPS survey feedback, support tickets, shoutouts on social networks, regular feedback review meetings with customer success and support agents. But while we certainly want to deliver as much value as possible, it may be challenging to manage customers’ expectations when it comes to these requests. So how do you go about it? Please share with us your tried and tested ways to track and follow-up on customer requests to guarantee the best user experience. Or, take part in this short poll, and leave your own option in the comments!
Hi there, I have this Miro board. It is the one I use with my clients to “find methodically ways to improve any product and achieve growth targets faster”. Any feedback will be welcome. And happy to share it with anyone who is interested.
Hi all! I’m a semi-newbie to Miro (in that I haven’t used it much) and would like to understand the nuances of it’s application from different people who are active users. Could anyone point me to some recent case studies or articles where Miro was part of a project/endeavor? It can be on Medium, a related Miro blog, LinkedIn, etc. Doesn’t really matter. :) Thanks in advance!
Hello, I am a designer/trainer trying to translate some of my training icebreakers into online activites. They are (were) very tangible play activites and at the moment can’t happen. I have been building them in Miro now for a few weeks and adore the platform. It is so easy to design a learning environement that is as intiuative and engaging as physical. As my heart is in designing environments I am getting very excited about designing Miro work/play spaces for people. But, after a day of research I can’t really find individuals that are doing this? So, I am curious if there are people charging for designing Miro boards? or if not why not? Maybe to many free templates out there? Anyway, I would love to hear from you and see what you think? I am working on a lovely template to put on the Miroverse soon. Jules
We’ve been having a blast developing tools for this community on the Miro API/SDK. ‘Blast’ doesn’t capture it… the ability to build tools on top of all the amazing features in Miro is straight-up life changing. The developer docs and sample projects are well put together and make it easy to get started. Its not rocket science -- but the potential feels … astronomical 🤓 ← Miro now | Miro after the creative world discovers the API → What follows is a glimpse into how its been going. We’re about to begin sharing the tools in beta. We’ll keep you posted. Always eager to share what we’ve learned and collaborate with other Miro enthusiasts. I’ll probably post over in the ‘Developer Forum’ a deeper dive into some of the more developer side of things… Miro Plugin Development Project HQ Here’s some screenshots of our development HQ Miro board … don’t mind the mess, if I knew you were coming over I’d have cleaned the place up. I know we all work in different ways, but I’m highly visual, and now working on a fourth novel, I found that I simply can’t keep all of the twists and turns and motivations in my head, or I can’t sleep at night. Some readers may recognize the word “perseverating”, and what it will do to you. It’s a nightmare for authors.Over the years, I’ve learned to commit almost everything….but, especially stump points….to a picture. In the past, plain old mind maps have had to be the way. The Miro whiteboard is a boon to my style. There are two screenshots below….the broad overall plot line, but also a current problem. Late in the novel, my protagonist finds out that he’s unwittingly been working in parallel with the FBI/CIA, and I need plausible reasons for him not to be angry, and to continue on the case. First, I make a picture of the motivations I’ve considered so far. Then, I go chop wood, rake leaves, sleep, shop, do woodworking…..almost anything that’s unrelated to the writing process. I’

A great story by a UX Researcher at Uber where she shares ten important lessons she learned while working for the company: Think globally Assess and prioritize Get out there (get into the user’s context) Get creative with your methods Bring stakeholders into the field Experiment with new methods of sharing insights Collaborate cross-functionally Expect the unexpected Reflect, recover…and then act Never “I”, always “we” What would you add to the list? Speaking about cross-functional collaboration, which teams do you usually work with?

I have this dream of being able to fluidly and seamlessly present and work with a group using Miro and Zoom, and what I would really like to do is to use both touch to navigate the Miro workspace, and a pen or stylus to write and draw, just as I would on an actual whiteboard.I'm hoping for a single interface to address both.I have tried using a “standard” touch screen monitor, but found the one I tried was only sensitive to a finger tip and the drawing/writing detail was not fine.I have a Wacom Intuos tablet, but have found Palm Rejection with this tablet is not supported in the Miro interface. When using the stylus I have to turn off Touch manually with a switch on the side of the tablet otherwise when I rest my hand on the tablet to draw, it zooms and pans the Miro workspace unpredictably. I find this is clunky and slow when I am trying to get into the flow of working and presenting to a group. My current workaround is to use a mouse for navigation, and then the tablet for writing. I
Hey everyone! Brittni here to give you a short recap of yesterday’s EMEA V-MUG I know all of us are figuring out the best ways to work remotely these days and so lucky for us we had the amazing Lisette Southerland author of Work Together Anywhere: A Handbook on Working Remotely — Successfully — for Individuals, Teams, and Managers give us some pointers. We learned how to set boundaries, the current state of remote work and the future of remote work. We also got to participate in a breakout room session and use Miro’s awesome voting feature. Check out the video recording! Here are some questions from the V-MUG. Feel free to chime in! Which virtual office tools would you recommend? What virtual team building activities interest you? Hello, I would like to share a video of Tom Solid, who is founder of PaperlessMovement. He shows what the Stickies Capture in comparission with the Post-it-App can do: Guess who the winner is? I know what I can do with this feature but after this video I was impressed. Thank you at miro for creating this!!! Michael
I’ve recently came across the article on effective brainstorming techniques on Medium - https://medium.com/taking-note/effective-brainstorming-techniques-c84a1158134d. Top highlight: In any brainstorm, there’s usually a handful of people who do most of the talking, while others only pipe up when asked to share. I wonder, what are the golden rules of brainstorming sessions for you and your team?
Hey everyone! Brittni here So happy it’s Friday! I am a podcast junkie and during this quarantine I’ve been listening to so many podcasts and even listening to old episodes of some of my favorites. I listen to podcasts more than I listen to music now which is crazy for me. I’m even starting my own podcast with my friend since highschool (everyone has a podcast ) Here’s just a sample of what I’m listening to: How Did This Get Made (Best Episode...Monkey Shines) Pod Save America RedHanded Newcomers: Star Wars, with Lauren Lapkus and Nicole Byer Comedy Bang Bang Lovett or Leave it In Voorhees We Trust with Gourley and Rust In Myers We Trust with Gyers and Rust Pod Save the World B*tch Sesh Any other podcast junkies out there? What are you listening to?
A common technique used in many agile meetings is Fist of Five voting, where everyone raises their hand showing 0-5 fingers indicating a range of agreement. How do you do this well using Miro? One of the most important parts of this technique is to identify who has low confidence so that you may start a discussion. I can put 6 cards in a region and use the voting feature, but the Miro voting feature seems completely anonymous, so I would have to get the low voters to speak up to identify themselves. Does anyone have another technique to vote and more easily start the right conversations?
I love the comment function in Miro. Tagging people or the entire board works great when you want to draw someone’s attention to a specific area of the board. It’s great that you can hide comments, resolve comments, and view only comments that you are tagged in. Still, when I work with my teams, the comments quickly get out of control and clutter the board. Hiding all comments is nice, but puts you at risk of missing when someone needs your feedback or input. Many of the comments on my boards are good comments, but they are left as hanging ideas that might never be resolved fully, and so they stay unresolved. Has anyone developed a procedure or guidelines for commenting on a board that prevent comments from getting out of control? Things like: when to comment tagging rules when to resolve a comment moving from comments to action (develop the ideas behind a comment on the board using templates) Some best practices or guidance in the area of commenting would surely be helpful, what do y
Hi- I am new to Miro, yet so far, it is great! Do you have suggestions for the best template for value stream mapping? Initially we thought to use flow chart and build out shapes, yet curious if there is a better template similar to shapes/templates that Visio value stream templates have? Thanks in advance for any ideas!
, all! As I’m sure is the case for many of you, Miro has led to fundamental improvements in my team collaboration, for the better. At Crema, it set a new standard for how quickly a tool could be adopted and loved by everyone. In this video, George Brooks and myself discuss what we love about Miro. If you like this type of content, be sure to subscribe to our YouTube Channel to get notified when part two is available. What do you love about Miro? How has it impacted your teams and workflows?
Hi community! I like to share a trick to show and easily manage a set of bars on Miro. For example, I use it in workshops together with my clients to define Objectives & KPIs for Digital Strategy. All the elements on the board are locked except the rectangles (horizontal and vertical) that you could stretch until arrive at the level you want. Here is a public board to see an example: BTW, this board should be also a good template for Miro users (beyond the bar function). Cheers, Mauro
Hi all! I’m wondering how all of you are faring with the uptick in remote work and using Miro as a central tool with distributed work efforts. I wrote an article about all the activity I’m seeing, and wondering if anyone here is experiencing the same:https://www.linkedin.com/pulse/worlds-remote-moment-here-robert-skrobe/ Looking forward to hearing from you!
Hi everyone, I am Michael. Since the 1990th i am a passionate MindMapper who loves to work graphic-oriented and loves everything wich helps to simplify complicated things. Last year i discovered miro: A colleague asked me if i can join her online consulting to test her system. It was a good web-based consulting system, but it has a lot of not so good things: It was in a graphical way based on a 1990th design It was not enough customizable for consulting and coaching needs It should offer something template-made wich can easyli shown up for individual consulting settings It should have pictures in it (i love to work with pictures) and i want not to buy a lot of pictures for the whole settings So i searched a whole 4 days and i found miro. I started my free-account and hey: Over 200.000 best quality pictures Icons The ability to drag documents Arrows to connect something FreeText And whooohoooohooo: Stickies Even in the free account a lot to offer … but then: The consultant account: I w
Hey there, Most companies switched to work-from-home mode several weeks ago. We’ve already shared a lot of resources on remote collaboration tips & tricks in a public whiteboard wiki showed our WFH workspace (add yours!) discussed how we begin and end our work days. But let’s discuss the challenges of working remotely. What bothers you most of all? Anything that you have already overcome? Or maybe remote work is just fine for you? Share your thoughts in the comments, and let’s address those challenges together with the community. For example, my biggest challenge is overworking. I simply can’t understand when I should switch off - my laptop is just in front of me, why not to check Slack, email inbox, or complete a task from the backlog? What works for me (well, I’m trying) close Slack (or at least turn off the notifications and set myself away) at a set time have something scheduled for the evening (a Zoom call with friends or I plan to make dinner) clock off (I mean I finish
