Hi All,I am using Miro a lot for my work: i love it, and love sketchnoting.Also using the Miro App on Ipad with the apple pencil, I find it a bit limited. For example if i doodle something and I need to select it and move, it is not very handy.Anyone is including sketchnote on Miro? what would you recommend to use? Do you have any video or material to see specifically?Even better if I don’t need an additional tool!Thank youIlaria

Hello everyone! As one of the last posts in 2022, I wanted to share the latest creation from my team at Hiro Studio, our newest Miroverse submission, the Miro Orientation Café (https://miro.com/miroverse/miro-orientation-cafe/). For over a year, we have been working on identifying the foundational pieces that new Miro users need to be taught in order to quickly begin engaging in a workshop. This Miro Experience provides visual, written, and video instructions that appeal to a variety of learning styles and can get new users up to speed and ready to contribute in no time.  Huge ups to @Rachel for her constant support and always helping us push the boundaries of what is possible in Miro, and to Hilary, Hiro Studio’s amazing designer who pulls all of the crazy ideas out of our heads and makes them beautiful.Keep on designing amazing experiences in Miro everyone! Remote work and WFH is certainly growing as countries keep safe from COVID19. A lot of folks are new to working from home. I also know that a lot of Miro users have been doing this for years! So for those seasoned experts out there… How do you “switch on” to begin your work day? How do you “switch off” at the end of your work day?   Personally I don’t like working from home because I have a hard time staying focused. So I need to keep routine to “switch on” and start my work day. Get dressed in my work-casual clothes, designate a specific work area, open the computer and turn on a podcast. Switching off at the end of the day has always been easy. Once I clock out and physically close the laptop, my brain knows exactly how to divide work from home life

After using Miro for 3+ years, it’s still fun when you discover something you didn’t know.In this example, I will group the four images and then double-click the top-left one (the cat with the fishbowl) and move it separate from the group. Next I will do the same with the puppy. This saves me from Ctrl+Shift+G to ungroup, rearrange, and then Shift+drag to select all and Ctrl+G to group. I didn’t see any mention of this in the Structuring Board Content → Grouping Help Center article, but I expect it’s a feature and not a bug.

Recently, I’ve been exploring some of the major anxieties that startup companies have. Now, I am led to the question that I think a lot of us have answers to…   When starting a new project, what causes the most friction?   I’m in the tech industry (mobile apps), which means things keep changing and keeping up with new devices and software makes my job harder. On the other hand, it is the reason I have a job and I love what I do! More specifically, I use Miro to keep organized when I need to manage a change in app logic or update software from one version to the next.   But some teams in my office don’t want to use Miro! Which can cause FRICTION!

Howdy! Since I’m accountable for several teams, I find it very crucial to plan thoroughly. It helps me to execute on a top-level and collect all the ideas / upcoming projects in one place. When I started to work at Miro, there were no cards at all, but I wanted somehow to use an agile philosophy in my day-to-day work, so I ended up with quite a primitive yet useful ‘Kanban Calendar’:   Do you have anything similar in your bins? What kind of approach do you use in achieving the same goal? Would love to learn from you if I can improve my Frankenstein

I often make boards or frames using a picture of a model as a background. I then want participants in my workshop to be able to place sticky notes on the background. But Ik don't want them to move the background itself, so I want to lock it.The easiest way to work with sticky notes is to right click to insert them. However, this does'nt seem to work over locked objects (except frames). And you can't use the visual as a background to a frame (can you?) My workaround is to provide a ‘stack of stickies’, but I would prefer people to be able to insert their own. Any ideas on how to do that?

Hi Everyone, I’d like to share some context then I’ll dive into the meat of the question. I am a UX/Product designer that is currently leading a small volunteer team that is working through how we can improve the experience of working remotely for our company. One continual pain-point has been the lack of ability to quickly move from discussion, to drawing out the idea or concept being described. So we did some quick testing of different apps and some discovery work with different hardware solutions and decided we would like to see Miro + iPads tested with a larger group.    The feature set of a digital communication tool like Miro is new to us, really to the company at large. The UX team has done some dabbling in testing tools like this, but nothing ever stuck. So to frame the type of experimentation we are hoping for well, think of it like a discovery phase. We are hoping to learn what is out there, what applies, what doesn’t apply, who uses it and how does it impact how they comm

Here are some excerpts:Autonomy requires alignment. Company priorities must be defined by leadership. Autonomy does not mean teams get to do whatever they want. Processes for cross-team collaboration must be defined. Autonomy does not mean leaving teams to self-organize every problem. Collaboration is a skill that requires knowledge and practice. Managers should not assume people have an existing comprehension of Agile practices. When a company becomes big enough, teams will need dedicated support to guide planning within the team and structure

Hiya,  This week we have our annual offsite at Miro!  Usually, offsite is an event when the entire distributed Miro team comes together to a single place to work and have fun together.Due to You-Know-What, this year our offsite (just like in 2020) was transformed into a HUGE virtual event  And this is so cool! We have all-hands sessions, as well as breakout rooms with activities; fireside chats and amazing quizzes, and more.  Do you usually have an offsite at your company? Did/Will you have an offsite this year? You’re going to be one really well, maybe even two but never all three. If you feel like you fit strongly in one or two of those buckets, I say you go for it.”I think this holds true even for people who aren't PMs or POs (or project leaders/managers). A developer is often — and hopefully 😅 — strong on the technical side, and then they could also lean either towards UX or business. Same with UX designers: strong on user experience and maybe also business or tech. Agile coaches are often rooted in either tech (former engineers) or user experience (former UX designers).As a PM/PO, I consider myself fitting strongly in the Technical and Customer buckets but less so
