As inspired by @Sam Shennan, this is a call to all the creative folks out there who are using Miro! If you have created some artwork natively (i.e. without copying and pasting or uploading content from outside of Miro) which you feel is worthy of exhibition in a museum (or at least your foyer ), please share it with the rest of the Miro community below! To avoid conflict of interest and because I don’t have a visual creative bone in my body, I will not be submitting my “chicken scratch” Miro drawings Since I guess I should share just how bad my drawings are: (It’s an eye if you were having difficulties with it :-) )
Hi Miro Community We believe the 2021-22 school year is an opportunity for all educators to shine even brighter. Now, with all the new skills you’ve cultivated over the past year of distance learning, you can create engaging, blended learning experiences that incorporate the new tools and technology you mastered. We’d love to see your favorite activities for online or blended classes that work on the virtual whiteboard. Please share with us and with the Miro community your best examples of collaborative activities such as: Problem-solving Case studies Field surveys Learning games Investigation groups Exhibitions Of course, if there's a group activity that went over really well online or in a blended class, let us know all about it! Hello everyone! I’m working on a new app for Miro called Formulas and I’d love to get feedback from the community here. The Formulas app brings your Miro board to life by enabling board items to dynamically change their values and colors based on the other items in your board. Check out the video below for the full pitch, but here are some examples of what the plugin can do:Run calculations like Sum or Average against the items in your board Create a sticky that changes its background color to red automatically if it has a negative number Make a text block that combines the text of all items inside of a frame. Keep the value of a sticky in sync with another sticky or text block on the board. Count the number of dots in frames as a custom voting exercise I’m nearly happy with the basic functionality of the app currently, but I don’t have a clear idea of real-world use cases, so please tell me what you think. Do you think this app is just a fun gimmick or would it help with something yo

July’s Miroverse Challenge: Monster Template! (DATE EXTENDED!) It’s been an exciting few months at Miro with the release of our monster-sized national ad campaign! We created this ad to show the power of Miro and how easy it is to collaborate, innovate, and solve problems of any size, together in Miro. 🙌 If you haven’t had a chance to see the ad on the big screen (cough living room), across social media, or a billboard towering the city, you can check out the full ad here: Want to see how we used Miro to create the ad? Check out this video This summer, we are introducing a new type of creative #Miroverse template challenge. We won’t be focusing on just one Miro use case or template type — instead, we want to see your creativity run wild and create ANY type of template / board that features our beloved (yet a little bit scary) character. Yes, we mean it! Any type of template from icebreakers to project planning goes as long as the Monster is incorporated. Ready, set, create! We look f

Hi Everyone, I’ve written a Miro addon that renders LaTeX math expressions to images you can then drag and drop to your boards. It also includes the option to toggle the input mode from plain tex to the excellent MathLive equation editor widget.I’m looking for a few test users to give some feedback on the UI and iron out any bugs.Addon url is https://miro.com/oauth/authorize/?response_type=code&client_id=3458764526714594504&redirect_uri=%2Fconfirm-app-install%2F Code is here: https://github.com/grady/miro-latex This is under active development, so it could break at any moment.I hope people find this useful.

Hi Miro Heroes, Once again, the Miro Community has pulled through. Your sharing, your helpfulness, and your passion for collaboration have inspired us to launch the next installment in our series How Do You Miro. It was this thread on the community that gave us our new topic.Workshop facilitators quite often face the situation when the meeting participants are brand new to Miro, and it is extremely important to teach them the basics of Miro to quickly onboard them into a workshop to start collaborating right away. So what are the best practices to get everyone up to the same speed? We are happy to announce our second official challenge How Do You Miro? Miro 101! Share your own sandboxes/play areas/cheat sheets for Miro newbies. Challenge detailsThe challenge starts today, September 8th, and will last until September 27th.We will announce the winners the following week to give our judges enough time to find our Judges Choice. Are you a board owner who has facilitated a Miro board session with external, non-team participants and want to see their name beside their cursor* and not some random “Guest” name, e.g., Guest Editor, Guest Artisan, Guest Researcher? While the typical workaround is for that guest editor to first sign up for a free Miro account, there is another way.*While I will keep referring to the benefit of the guest editor’s “name showing beside their cursor”, their name will also show up in:the participants panel (top-right of board); activity List pane (history of actions taken by that user); comments; an object’s Info pane, e.g., Created by: Bob Smith.--Disclaimer: The steps outlined in this post are a number of different Miro functionalities at the time of this post that I found, when combined, could accomplish my desired outcome. The ability to give an anonymous Guest Editor a name should not be considered a supported feature and therefore you should not contact Miro Support if these steps d
I’m very sure many of us in this community are business owners or work for organisations with a website presence. I too have one that I built and manage for my consultancy. However, based on my experience (and I assume for my potential clients too), trying to get a good overview of a business or an organisation can be a little painful: lots of clicking around and lots of nested information while trying to piece together a coherent big picture. Often times we also resort to sending “one sheet profile PDF” of our business (or CV/resume for job candidates) to whomever may be interested. However, anything longer than 2-3 pages can be a negative for a prospect or a hiring person. What if there’s a way to present all this information on ONE interactive page? One big picture view that gives a wholesome perspective. Presenting my hack: using Miro to tell my company’s story! #miromarketingEverything that we can do and deliver is presented in this Miro board. A use case: While some prospects maybe
Hi all,I’m a knowledge worker. While looking for a good tool to build my Personal Knowledge System (aka Second Brain), someone suggested Miro.I’ve searched a lot, but I wasn’t able to find any use cases related to Academic Research or similar jobs.I see Miro is mainly used for UX Design, meetings and similar.I wonder if and how I could use Miro for complex knowledge, often related to projects.I ask because I’m a visual guy, I really love mind maps, and I see being text only only takes so far when it’s time to learn.
