Hi all,

How to export a frame as image using the REST API ?

Thank you for your support!

The platform doesn’t have an API to export frames as images.

This is part of our backlog but we don’t have an estimate date for this yet.

Thank you for your feedback.

My idea is to create a command that publishes all frames of a board as images in an Evernote notebook as read-only note.

+1 for this feature. Want to programmatically transfer frames to an Azure DevOps wiki

Any updates on this feature?

Hi @David Merritt,

While we don’t yet support the export frame functionality via API, there are a few similar capabilities we’ve released in the meantime.

Something you might find helpful is the `imageUrl` or `documentUrl` fields returned by our GET Items API, nested within the `data` object. These allow you to download these resources using the API.

We will continue to advocate for a more robust export frame to image option, however.

Best,
Will

Hi @Will Bishop this is a great feature but might be a bit too granular for what we are looking to do.  We would have to reconstruct the frame. We are just wanting to create a simple index with an image preview for each frame in a project.

+1 please. Want to be able to properly share diagrams in a conversation. Can’t do any integration if we can’t fetch a frame image. Not having this feature limits our use of Miro. Lucid has had this api feature for years.

Looking at the REST API reference guide, I don’t see any mention of frame-to-image being exposed:

But let’s wait for a real developer to respond
