Custom menu on Widget Bar

Forgive me for using incorrect terminology as I have just started digging into this.

I understand how to add a custom icon to the widget menu bar and am able to show a modal, however I would like to instead make my icon display a “dropdown-like” menu instead. Much like the functionality of the tags or assignee dropdowns. Is this possible?

Thanks,

Justin

Hi,

what's the status on this? Is there a possibility to do something like this now?

Best,

Tim

Hi Daniela,

Thank you for following-up on this; a shame that we are unable to replicate this functionality.

Thanks,
Justin

Hello again,

I consulted with the engineering team and they confirm that the widget that appears when you click on the tags button is something that was built in-house. For now, external developer are only allowed to extend Miro with the custom views described here:

Kind regards.

Hello Justin,

The menu bar where the tags button is located is called Widget Context Menu:
https://developers.miro.com/docs/how-to-use-extension-points

Just to make sure I understand your question, you want to know how to add a little widget like the one that appears below the widget context menu when clicking on the tags button?

when clicking tags button

Please let me know and I’ll look into it.

Kind regards.
