Note: I have reported this to the Miro support team. If you are also experiencing this issue, leave a reply or subscribe to this post for updates.

In both Chrome and Edge on Windows 10 64-bit, the drag-and-drop "icon" is ghosting on boards and the dashboard. This happens on both the Google Image Search app and one of my custom Web SDK apps, built from the sample drag-and-drop code (https://developers.miro.com/docs/add-drag-and-drop-to-your-app).

Yes, the "drag" icons persist for me, as well. The most recently added "drag" icon goes away when the Google Images tray is closed, but if you've added dropped multiple images before posting, all the earlier instances persist. They are scrubbed when a board is closed and re-opened. I was testing on the Windows Desktop Application.

@Kyle Chipman - The support team wanted me to send browser logs, but when I tried to reproduce the issue, it appears to have been resolved already. Thanks again for testing this on your end!

The issue appears to have been resolved.

Hi everyone, I also have the same issue, but the icon ghosts in the spot that you drag the image from not drop it. Does someone know what could be causing this? :)

I don’t see any errors in my console when the drag and drop happens.

@laura.many - I noticed your screenshot is from a developer team board. Since such UI issues would likely not be considered a priority when it comes to developer teams, can you confirm:

  1. Does this happen in non-developer team spaces? And if so,
  2. How are you using Miro? (browser, desktop app, etc.) and what version?
  3. And… what app(s) is this behaviour occurring with? E.g., from your screenshot, I an not sure which app has that search box.

Hi @Robert Johnson ,
The issue persists on the non-developer team as well. I am using Google Chrome desktop browser version 131.0.6778.109 (Official Build) (x86_64)

This is an app I made myself, it is not available to the marketplace. The app searches for names on database and returns the data it finds.

Let me know what could be causing the issue. :)

@laura.many - I am using a web plugin that was based off of this drag-and-drop example app from Miro and am not experiencing this issue in any browser, or in the desktop app.

I would suggest posting your question (with an example) in Miro’s developer platform Discord sever:
