Miro board link shared through the new public access feature and by using the Zoom chat feature did not appear as an actionable link
Miro and Zoom : sharing Miro board through new public access feature I am running a consultant plan since a couple of weeks. I had several times the same problem: a Miro board link shared through the new public access feature and by using the Zoom chat feature did not appear as an actionable link at my meeting participants. Sometimes sending through e-mail or through Slack worked. 70% of the time I had failures. I set the “can edit” option in the public access to board link. Is this a known error? Very annoying when you work with a client. Thanks for any advice, hints, work arounds, etc.
Team member's text is deleted shortly after it is typed. The user starts to type letters in English whether in text box or in the shapes mode and then it is deleted immediately after the courser clicks the other space. BUT the numbers can be typed without being deleted. Please help to solve it!(((
I have a requirement and trying to find if this is possible or not. I have custom designed cards. while providing training i want those cards to be available to my clients as a stack, so that during a collaboration session anyone can use them multiple times. Just like the Stack of Sticky notes i want my custom cards to be available as a stack. Is there a possiblity of doing so.
Hi there! I find myself zooming out (carefully trying not move things around while doing it), selecting all the items in a board and then locking them very often. It’d be nice to have a shortcut for this action. If not I guess I’ll try to develop a web-plugin that does it (it shouldn’t be very hard). Thanks, Alan
Hello, I have created a board with a number of canvases which I want to share with a public wider community so that they can use this board as starting point (template if you like). I want them to be able to use it as template, i.e. copy it and make it their own, but not modify it. What is the best way of doing this? What plan do I need to be on for this? Thanks so much m
I want to allow people with link to edit a board (together). I’ve just signed up for the consultant plan. I follow the instructions, click on “share” at the top right corner of the board, and only get the option to invite to the team by email. How do I activate the option to share a link? Thanks!
Hi, I’m making lecture videos using Miro and Zoom’s local recording function. It worked very well, and I love this combination. But from yesterday (28 April), I’ve been experiencing a "Syncing... Please wait \\ Receiving a response from the server. We recommend that you wait ** sec to avoid data loss." panel repeatedly appearing on the Miro app. I tried the web-browser app, another net connection, different time slots (morning, daytime, evening, midnight). What does this message mean? Is this a server-side problem, or some performance issue in my environment? is there any way to avoid it? I’m setting up the Retro board. Instead of writing notes at the meeting (what worked well, not worked well questions), I’d like the member to fill the note before the meeting without others to read it. Fun Retro app had a text blur setting until the facilitator to reveal it. I was wondering if there is any solution for Miro?
Is there a way to temporarily freeze and disable participants from freely scrolling around the Miro interface while we’re working on a collaborative project? I would love to be able to temporarily freeze access so that I can keep all participants on the “same page” and focused on one board at a time when necessary. Any insight on how this can be done would be very much appreciated.
Hi, dears, I have a question for those of you already having a Team plan and tested some workshops with external guest editors: In considering to upgrade to a paying plan, I was wondering if guest editors are able to, the days after the workshop they attended, to continue working freely and on their own on the (public) board created by the paying user? That is even if the user has not “opened” the board, i.e. the paying user is not present on the board at that moment? On Miro Help center we read that “Guest Editors will have access to the board as long as it's public”, but I would like some confirmations on that following your direct experience :) Thank you!
I hold the same workshop to multiple clients, and for this workshop I’ve developed sort of a master version board. For each client I then hold the workshop for, I copy paste the relevant frames and items I wish to include into a new board which I have added to that account and project. The problem is that when I do this, all links that I had created are still pointing to the master version board, and not the frames in the new board. As I may want to have 10 or maybe even 100 links in one of these master version board, it makes it impossible to use links because of this. A nice feature would be to make the links stay intact within each board. As far as I understand it, the links are today built up by /boardID/widgetID. So I guess what I would like is that if I paste a set of 20 frames into a new board, containing 100 links, the link would replace the /boardID/ part of all links and append the new board’s ID instead into all links. Is there a way to do this already?
Hi there, New to Miro. I’ve created a board that I want to share in a training course tomorrow. I’ve prebuilt all my content. When I share the board, it shows everything highlighted as updated by me. The issue I have is that this is the first time people are seeing it, so they don’t need to see what’s changed. Is there a way I can turn this “feature” off? S
Running a workshop here in the next month and I am trying to find the most user friendly way to enter people’s responses. The issue is this: I have a segment in my workshop where I ask open-ended question. For example, “What are some healthy habits?” I would like even the least tech savvy attendees to be able to enter text. I have tried using stickies but they are quite difficult to use because they require you to double click in a specific spot. Furthermore, the formatting toolbar that appears is unnecessary and could lead to further confusion. Any thoughts on what tools to use?
